Ya, I agree. I've only been at Delta two years and yes there are some things we can do better, but let the negative attitude go! Drink a beer or two or three before posting on here.

As to finding solutions. Just a word of advice for the new Heavy D, (thats Delta with a little synergistic pilot/rap lingo), when we face a problem like load planning in DTW or JFK, the answer is not just the right solution but rather the agreed upon solution- the one we can all buy into. Such as a central OCC LP.

If there is no emotional connection to the solutions for this airline then we will have a lot of pilots, et. al., spinning their wheels such that you can kiss D-0 goodbye at every base, year round.

So where is the problem, where is the pain? And whats the agreed upon right solution- the one comes from an unfiltered debate where people are heard out, completely. And htus be dedicated to fostering a team commited to this airline, its customers, its employees and its goals and not just a group of people whose only commitment is to their paycheck.

Sorry, the kids at the kid table are not just over here coloring on the table and looking up underboob porn on mom's iphone, but we're trying to solve the world's problems... but someone keeps farting over here and laughing about it... 80...

A little kumbaya goes a long ways. You remind me of the guy who gets mad when he nonrevs and doesn't get his way. Then I come up with a Starbucks for the gate agent and she treats me like a king. It's all in your delivery my friend. And yes, I want OUR airline to be the best too.
Our attitudes now represent the end game. We all tried what you advocate in the beginning. That was quickly dismissed. It is NOT in our delivery. You wouldn't know because you haven't seen what we are seeing.

Now, back to your dismissive attitude. At least I now understand where you got it from.

Same here, would love to buy you one. We should have a APC reunion sometime in a fun location like Vegas.

I know, I know, those gate agents haven't figured it out yet either.

Carl, you're having a problem getting the final AWABS prior to push? I'm serious here. Maybe its because you're on the 74. Otherwise I can't imagine why. I've only had a handful of problems in 9 years. 'Course, I'm only flying narrow bodies. 99 times out of 100, when the gate agent closes the door, the ACARs dings and the numbers come across. LA, NY, ATL, Chicago, wherever. The only time recently I've had an issue was in DTW. When I called the freq for the loading folks, I was chastised for trying to accelerate the process. The gate agent told me that there was a learning curve between them and the load folks. She was fNWA so I took her word as gospel. Other then that, I've had very few issues at DAL. Late arriving pax, bags, etc, sure. But normal ops, nope.

Your welcome.. I always had a good relationship with you guys. Yeah it was bad all around. I guess blame can go in all directions. Even though I had my many issues with Checci and CO and our 93 concessions but fast forward to 2005 I did not expect anyone to not go to work or honor our line but I really thought maybe some other group would see that NW was busting an entire workgroup and union. AMFA had a bad rep but you have to understand we were under the IAM and they were a nightmare and we just wanted our own union. But AMFA was too militant for NW and they were hell bent on breaking them. Like someone said they did not want another "ALPA" on the property. But NW did what I thought they would they busted us and used that to threaten the rest of you into concessions and then they filed bancruptcy anyway. I am doing well I am a maint controller at FX took my experience across the street. A lot of guys didn't fair well. Some lost their houses, their families and a few took their lives. So like I told another good pilot Maddog25 I am sorry that I come on here looking to bash NW pilots but I have a wound that wont heal very soon just wish the pilot group made more of an issue of things that were happening. Gotta say one thing NW paid a lot of people off. The media was quiet and 2 FAA inspectors were pulled out of service for flagging problems. Even I have to tip my hat to NW for a hand well played.

Hey, driving distance for me. Let's all draft ACL to plan it and cater it. He's not on right now. Can I get a vote? ACL to plan the first APC Reunion in Vegas? Hurry, he'll be back soon. Let's lock him in before he knows what happened!

The JS's will be booked from ATL-LAS...

What if we just all get in the room and pull out our laptops and argue in silence? Just a bunch of key strokes.
