Gutsiest move I ever saw Mav....

Actually I took my better half to Cairo, and did not leave the US with fewer than 15 Zed fares in hand. Long blonde hair ain't stayin there without me... But she did get on. I wouldn't recommend it unless you like gut wrenching stress.

I know how to look up the ZED fare via Travelnet/ID90.com but they do not have the fares of an ID90 interline agreement listed, only the ZED ones. Does anyone know the way to estimate the ID90 fare short of going to the airport and buying the ID90 pass?

Still wondering.....

To MSP based folks...

Is there a commuter room/bad drop downstairs in the F concourse - or is just in the crew lounge next to the FA lounge? How about an iron/ironing board down there too? Just tired of commuting in in uniform to sit all day.

Thanks and Cheers...

Downstairs below f5 take the elevator down and head towards the stop-over store and you will find it.

It blows my mind how helpless our schedulers are. They can't do anything that the computer doesn't tell them to do, can they? I start 5+ days tomorrow. Another reserve is good for 4 days.

Scheduling gives me a 4 day, and leaves the other guy on short call. Now normally this wouldn't be a big deal since we are both in the 4 day bucket, but.....there are 6 four days and a 5 day starting on the 3rd. There are now 3 guys to cover them. I even called them and asked them, and they said that's how the computer did it. I said I understand why the computer did it, but you guys are just hosing yourselves. Think outside the box for crying out loud!!!

Seems to me they are essentially wasting a reserve.

I have tried to drop a two day trip for a five day, swap was denied due to lack of rsv coverage. Common sense is not to be found in the scheduling dept. They seem to always be putting out small fires as they arise instead of looking at the big picture.

Call them and see what they say. That is the computer only look at the reserves required versus avail.

It just looks at some funky day thingy that makes it look as if he is on the hook. I have talked to skeds about this before, and they are clueless about the info we are getting. Dalpa knows about this too, and I doubt seriously if they can/will be able to do anything about it. It sucks.

Yeah, I know that list is worthless. But I know that other reserve was good. He had a RAW of zero.

Help a broth'r out

You'd think the latest crop of pilots interviewing would enlighten us with some updates on the the interviews (e.g. X out of X hired, format, number of questions in technical test, etc.). Not asking for anything that wasn't being put on these boards before during the last cycle.

You ever think that they want to keep it quiet this time?

With very few interviewing most do not want to jinx it until they are in class.

I'm getting the feeling that's exactly the case. BTW, sources tell me the cog "prep" is no longer available. Did the new boss man put the thump down on that?

acl65pilot 07-02-2010 06:40 AM

I had a guy tell me that the Dr in ATL that did that for a few hundred bucks has been shut down, and frankly rightfully so. I did not do it, nor did I do any paid prep prior to the interview. Really! Gouge from 2001 was good, but I studied the formulas not the answers, and was just plain honest in the MMPI, COG, etc.

They want what they want, and frankly it is better that they get it.

I went in with the mindset that I am who I am and if that does not fit DAL the last place I wanted to be was there. It was where I wanted to be, and it is everything I figured it was, but it was for the team dedicated to hiring our pilots to decide.
