I think (as in not sure) that SDQ is dispatched as a flag operation, but falls into domestic for pay.
“International operation” means a flight segment to or from an airport, or between airports, located outside the contiguous 48 states of the United States. Exception: A flight segment to or from an airport located in Canada or Alaska will not be considered an international operation. “International pay” means an hourly pay premium paid to a pilot for flight time flown in an international operation. |

Ad Lib,
I guess I was trying to find out if they could only use me for international flying. If I was at 28/7 that would only leave 2 hours for domestic. I did not know if SDQ, GEO, BOG, etc were scheduled as domestic or international. Thanks, BFS Again, it only happened once, and has not happened in a while. Your results may vary. |

No - anything outside the 48 US states, Canada or Alaska gets international pay.

I'll have to look it up. |

Here is my situation, reserve pilot, I flew 18 hour BUD, and 10 hour SLC. 28 hours in five days. I get short call tomorrow with only 2 days of availibility. I know that they can take me into my X days but it would have to be an international trip to go beyond 30/7. Right?
But, it depends on what time the SC is. If you're on 0700 tomorrow to 0700 on Friday, you might drop some flight time on Friday which would allow you to get called at 0400 for a 0600 show to fly a 1 day trip to the islands or something. |

Then is the 2 degree below the equator carve out just for the 737?
I'll have to look it up. So the 737 can go into deep South America, they carved out the "3 degrees, 30 minutes" part of the PWA. You still get paid international pay whenever you leave the 48 states, (except Canada and Alaska) |
Thanks iaflyer.

Flamebait question, let me get my fire extinguisher out here, standby...
http://www.firesystemsusa.com/images...nguisher_2.jpg had Delta put CRJ-200s in the 1990s on to the mainline certificate, would we have them today? Or would they've been dumped in 08 or 09 at the latest and a sizeable sizeable number of DAL mainline pilots furloughed? Just a question from the crewroom. And don't read into it, I'm not saying its in retrospect good we didn't put RJs on at mainline, just would we still have 50 seaters? Would we have 76 seaters? What would we have? imho, we wouldn't have CRJ200s in the fleet anymore. But we'd had grown into the next size up, or two sizes up, but we definately would not be fighting over having the jets outsourced. Of course, we might not have, and we might have just parked jets and people. I don't know. --- also whats in the big big crate in the sim bay in the ATL training center? :D I haven't personally seen it, we're just talking about it. |
"official" invites are supposed to be going out this week or next for the Aug 2 class, anyone heard anything?
