to keep the Latin theme:

Mea Culpa.

Reserves in MD90 bases do actually get paid 70hrs at the MD90 rate.

I'm guessing the Mexicana subsidiary Click 717s will hit the used market soon. (even though Mexicana claims Click is unaffected by the bankruptcy filing)

What was the name of the other 7171 operator West of the Mississippi?

George, I agree and I have been hearing that the will be returning to the leasing company. 25 a/c on the market for a great rate. Not sure if HI can absorb them unless it is for a greater goal.......

C. Reserve Line Guarantee
1. The line guarantee of a reserve pilot for credit purposes will be 70 hours, and for pay purposes, will be the total dollar value determined as follows:
a) 70 hours
minus
b) his accumulated credit in the bid period, the result of which will be
multiplied by
c) the hourly rate of the highest paying aircraft model that all pilots in his category may be required to fly in the bid period, the result of which will be

Note one: Subject to Section 4 G., the dollar value of the accumulated credit in Section 4 C. 1. d), will be computed at the hourly rate of the highest paying aircraft model that all pilots in his category may be required to fly in the bid period.
Note two: International pay for a pilot’s flight time flown in international operations in the bid period will be added to the dollar value of the accumulated credit in Section 4 C. 1. d)

G. Mixed Aircraft Model Guarantee
Contingent on FAA approval, the Company may place any aircraft model into any
aircraft type grouping. In such event, the composite hourly rate for the purposes of
reserve line guarantee for all aircraft models in the aircraft type grouping will be the
weighted average for such models based on the aircraft model mix within the aircraft type
groupings. This rate will be adjusted and published annually on January 1st of each year.

That's good to know. I'm happy to be wrong on that one. I'm currently pay protected at a higher rate than the MD90 so I haven't had the chance to see that on my paycheck yet. Thanks for the tip!

My guess is that the 717 and the Saudi MD 90's could be flown under the same category. There is savings in that! :D

Thoughts?

Just wondering if the MD-90 purchases are also preemtive on Managments front for th 2012. The 737 has a lot of other companies to compare payrates with ala AA, SWA, etc, where the MD-90 seems to have almost no equivilant at any other major. How can we say we want this much $$$ when no other Major really flies them, what can we compare to?
