Or better yet; bring each and every payrate to the 757/767 payrate. Unless somebody was hired based on what kind of revenue they could produce that is. I was hired based on my flying experience and education, not what kind of revenue I produce. I have also yet to see it in the F.O.M. where it mentions anything about revenue produced by the pilots.

The day our union goal is;

1. Pay increase proportional with years of experience with the company.
2. Size of jet based on bid by seniority.
3. Each pilot can pick one of 30 cities in the US to live in, and the company is responsible to get you where they need you, when they need you there.

Would be a good day in my book. Think its impossible?

We need to get rid of this escalating pay with size of aircraft crap. We need a CA scale and a FO scale based on years of service. By having the workforce chase bigger equipment, we end up creating thousands of training slots. If we went to the pay scale based on longevity alone, then people wouldn't be moving or jumping all the time. It is cheaper for the company due to much much less training scenarios. Then, we ask for a raise since we save the company money.

When I am 50+ years old, I don't want to be flying all night. I know others don't care about that. But I do. Leave that stuff for the younger kids. I want to get paid $$$ to overnight in Savannah and then go home. Call me crazy.

European airlines do it that way.

How about a percentage bump at signing and then a COLA plus a smaller percentage. Keeps buying power static and give a nominal raise for being under a contract. COLA after the PWA is amendable. Means you do not need to constantly hit home runs in section six.

And hitting those home runs on section 6 requires good timing with the global economy... could be great or ugly.

A couple of years ago I passed the GMAT and was accepted to a great MBA program. Just one tiny thing, I made a D in accounting I in college, a B in accounting II, but that D required me to take an online program for accounting I & II to start class.

I walked. :D

Its kind of my life's motto, if you're not good at it right away, quit.

So you two guys can take your mumbo jumbo accrual vs cash, recievables, ratios, debits, retained earnings, credits and... do talk to Ferd about it, I for one, will not listen. la la la la la. :D

I laugh now. I should've gone on with the program but I also lost funding and got a job that was 22/7/365 and that was that.

I'm deaf, thank you Tootsies at BNA. GO DOMESTIC EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI FLYING!!! WOHOOO!

+1! great idea. not sure the senior widebody mafia will go for it though. they might feel they have to subsidize the bottom financially in order to achieve this kind of pay structure. they would have to be sold on the QOL improvements.
