Only time will tell.....In three weeks its going to be fall slowdown time and people will be rumoring that the 90's are going to "replace" the oldest 88's and -50's.....Rumors seem to run on a hype for a week or two and then boredom for a couple weeks, rinse and repeat.

Shiz, it seems the slow down has started to effect the widebodies already. Few GS's and more WS's.

As many get used to the ebb and flow of DAL the seasonal hype or rumor will quell.

IMO DAL is not committing to anything because the economy is so uncertain. Jobless claims jumped again today. It cannot make up its mind. DAL not doing anything on a grand scale is a good thing, but that does not mean we should not explore golden opportunities. The MD-90's are just that.

NB and WB's by range then seating? And why do you get paid more for cruising? Huh? Huh? Some of us 5-leggers per day would like to know!? :D

Hey Clamp,
I'm just going with what they told me in the schoolhouse and during OE. I don't get the chance to taxi the aircraft very often, but when I do I comply with the limits they asked me to observe.

I think if you're getting more comfortable in the fleet it can't hurt for you to encourage SE Taxi. I'll often ask if 1 is OK, & if they seem hesitant I negotiate. I say how bout just 1 spinning until we get around the corner then if you want both I'll get the other one going. Many of my DTW CAs are becoming more receptive to this. I'm getting a lot more SE Taxi's lately, & I intend to push more plus spread Reddog 25's recently released SE Taxi data. :)

Is single engine taxi really that important to you? I never suggest it. I just do what the captain tells me to. These posts *****ing about the 320 not single engine taxiing are really starting to bother me. SINGLE ENGINE TAXI IS NEVER REQUIRED!!!! It these captains do not want to single engine taxi, that is their right. Most 320 captains never come on this board. *****ing about it on here will not change anything anyway. I'm not going to tell my captain we should single engine taxi because some anonymous poster on a message board told me we should. I know we're not all anonymous as I know a bunch of you, but there are a bunch of you that I still can't put names or faces to.
