Based on what the chart says, you could depart at the usual afternoon or evening time for Europe and fly 9 or 10 hours, then as long as you reported in Europe on day 3 after 11AM, you'd be good for another 9. That would definitely cover England/Ireland, and Spain.

That is how I read the clif notes I got. I want to read the entire document, so we will see what I find.

I know that we can reset base time after a lengthy layo so that may be buried in there somewhere. I guess we will find out.

One point that no one has made is that many of the current FAA restrictions are PWA restrictions as well. We also go above and beyond on my of these restrictions too. With these changes I am sure DALPA will see some room for leverage if the pilot group deems it appropriate.

Looks to me like the lead marshaller blew it by dropping his hands and walking back toward the jet. Of course, doesn't answer how the crew didn't know they were hooking up the tug.

If you want to dramatically raise your BP, read the comments below the YouTube video. Morons.....

Carl;
Interesting to watch, and even more interesting is that this is DAL gate video. I am not a smart man, but how the heck is stuff like this ending up on You Tube??

It states in the green pages what gates are tow in gates. I am glad that the tug is all that got hurt.

I like how the rampers scatter and no one runs up to the terminal to give the crew the stop signal. Awesome.

I am going to read all of the 145 page proposal and see what it totally entails, but there seems to be some gaping holes here and there. Time will tell though.

Looks to me we will be able to fly un-augmented 10 hour missions, not good! Between age 65 and this, we'll be career F/O's. :(

We will see what the final document is. I say get our your pen or computer and write your senators, congresspersons, the faa, ALPA, and anyone else you can think of.

If you not comment during the comment period you will have no reason to complain.

Oh man, you're right. I didn't even notice that - I just thought it was somebody inside the terminal filming. Whoever sent this video should be terminated, immediately.

I was in there the other day to a gate that the green pages said was a tow in. But they marshalled us in all the way instead. It was pretty uncomfortable, and I probably wouldn't do it again. It's an even tighter fit than LAX.

The one time where rampers are moving quickly...and it's caught on film! We ought to change the name of the video to: "Rampers Running"

I think you're both right.
DTW and MSP will be the junior bases for lineholders.
NYC (as always) will be the junior base for reserves.
Just due to the hassle and expense of NYC for a reserve commuter.

I'm not so sure MSP will be that junior. Alot of guys live there just like mecca ATL. I'll bet that is the most senior base of the 3 bottom bases. But who really cares.

acl65pilot 09-10-2010 03:33 PM

Yeah, that seems to be the MO there. Tug In if they remember. In a 744, if it says tow in, I would demand it. That is just me though. I am sure those suckers will be long gone by the time I would touch that tiller. It gets sporty in a 757. I cannot imagine a 744.

This gives pilots a good view of what the ops guys can see. Now put a jet 200 feet closer and you see the view they can get inside the flight deck. Catch my drift?????

If I recal 1000 guys live in the MSP area.

About 2300 or so live near ATL.

I could be off by a few each way, that is just what I remember from a year or so ago.
