Jumpseating on the first or last day of mil leave shouldn't be an issue. As long as you were on a military pay status for that day you JS it's covered.

Yes. I am jumpseating on the last day. In fact, my military duty will be over at the time I jumpseat. I just want to make sure because I love my job and don't need any hassles.

I scoured the PWA and couldn't find anything against it. The CPSC was closed (***?) and no way was I going to call the duty pilot with something like this.

I figured I'd phone a couple of friends and see what they thought. Thank you.

BTW, the jumpseat rules auditor let it go through so it seems like it is something they're not checking for.

I've jumpseated to work several times after drill or on the last day of orders. It's no big deal.

I don't get it. And I don't quite understand sentence 3.

Heyas,

Honestly guys, I wouldn't be too worried about the commuting part of the NPRM. Heck, we can't even get those guys to stick to the spirit of the 1,500 hour rule when its in back and white. You guys think they will try to enforce the vague commuting language?

Besides, it'd give me a great excuse to move to ATL and get away from my local relatives, and nothing comes that easy.

I am not trying to flame-bate the discussion, only making (I hope) a reasoned response. Like I said, if a guy wants to live in FLL, more power to ya'. But I'd not want to see our company have to pay for the expense of having 30 or 40 some odd satellite bases, and hobbled with the expense that it would entail.

They were coming back from furlough and decided they didn't want the job anymore and walked out? really? If that is true, I hope the door didn't hit 'em in the ass on the way out...

Can we?

I mean a) it could be our 100 seater, b) it would give us props back, c) its in production in A-T-L, and d) we could do some serious kick ass CRAF flying.

I bet that badboy could operate in and out of Hilton head without being weight restricted... and make plenty of smoke. Everyone wins!

And you could file LGA to BWI at 1000'.

And don't forget if a plane breaks down we could fly parts in.

"So we're delaying your push, we're waiting on some parts for you to fly in."
"Oh yeah, what kind of parts?"
"Saab 340."
"Parts for a Saab 340?"
"No, a Saab 340."

BTW, Oregon looks good. Boise needs to be moved down below TCU relatively speaking. Its just that darn schedule of Boise, its nothing.
