Looking at the contract they can't schedule you to go over your ALV. So to me that means withing 5 hours of ALV I basically released. I can't think of any scenario where a Reserve would get a 1 day trip worth 5:15.

Suit up pay is 2 hrs, so the min you could get for a call out is 2 hrs, so within two hrs of ALV you are done.

But to get suit up pay wouldn't they have to at least assign me a trip? Even a one day trip would be worth 5:15.... so I would think within 5:15 you would be done.

I too will be home for Christmas... and the rest of the month if GS are only single pay.

So if they just throw recurrent on my schedule is there a deadline for me to request a hotel if my training is OUT of domicile? Or will the hotel be scheduled automatically?

If you training is out of Domicile (MSP or ATL with being DTW based) they will automatically book a hotel and DH to and from your domicile. You can change the DH to your home though as long as it does not pass though your domicile, which in your case I know it does not. :D

Yeah. That hiring rumor died down just as quickly as the Alaska rumor sprung up. Come to think of it, both happened around the same time.....

Heard today that a guy who is in the pool of new hires was told to expect to start training in Jun/Jul. This is second hand, but solid info. My question is anyone have any idea of the number of guys who haven't come on property yet who are awaiting a training date? In this instance it's a mil retiree who leaves active duty in May. Isolated case or not?

Word from the last hiring fair was the Delta reps were telling people to expect hiring in 2011. The number thrown out was 800 and it was just the beginning.

Of course I did not hear it from a crew bus driver so YMMV
