So that doesn't go in seniority order? They will give it to someone requesting a greenslip w/out conflict first?
GSWC does go in seniority order. But they would have to go through all the regular greenslip requests (without conflict) long before they would ever start processing the GSWC requests. Does that make sense? |

"Loop back" is a little known provision that refers to a maneuver only authorized to be flown by NewK in the DC-9.

Stay 5 times and the 6th is free... Cheers George |

GSWC is a whole different level of desperation on the part of scheduling. You generally only see those given out with extreme IROP situations in categories that are very short staffed.
Apparently they figured out that the dropped trips and the FAR conflicts backed up faster than they were able to recover from even after the IROP ended. It didn't take too many GSWCs before they sort of created their own version of "rolling thunder" up there in scheduling. In most cases its more efficient to just cancel flights rather than give out more than one or two GSWCs in any given category. |
Holy @#$%, not a stinking rj.
Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) will use Boeing 737-800 flights with 160 seats for this service. The flight will leave Reno at 12.55 pm to reach Minneapolis at 6.10 p.m. the fight will return from Minneapolis at 11.30 a.m. and reach Reno at 1.05 p.m. |
Does anybody ever really get a GS? In Seattle as an A330 Capt I have yet to see any one ever get a GS. I have begun to think that it is a form of mythology. Or as the way to haze a new guy, like in the early days for a new guy working at an FBO to send him next door for "a bucket of propwash"... Or a snipe hunt. Please tell me that the emperor actually has clothes .
