Still subsidizing the concessionary competition I see?

Anyone see that Hawaiian bid that closed on the 9th? 65 new hires. For a pilot group of 440 or so that is a ton of pilots.....

Careful though. It only lists AE preferences, not MD or VD.
It's handy information in some circumstances or for some seniority levels but it's really not very useful on any bid where there are a significant number of people senior to you who are being displaced. Many (if not most) of the awarded positions on this bid will be from cascading displacements rather than straight AEs. |

Talk I heard today is that they are "planning" for all of the MSP 330B's to just bid ATL. Um, might want to check their bids and realize most are going to bid 320A without a seat lock.

Haha! Even these 'small' AE's jack everything up! Imagine the chaos if they decide to close MEM or CVG!
Oh and I would not be at a loss for words if CVG and or MEM were shut in the next few bids. |

Most WB guys in MSP are the last remnant of the "old guard"...the guys that rolled in off the prarie when they were 18 and have been in MSP since. Guys and gals who are parked in Apple Valley, Edina, Minnetonka, or some other burb of MSP/STP (Peachtree City equivalent for you fDAL types). "The Cities" is the center of the known universe to them. They are going NOWHERE. They've downbid from the 747-200/DC-10 to the 330, and will now do the same by bumping into the 7ER or 320. You probably have guys that still think that we can't jumpseat and have to send in a travel voucher 6 months ahead of time to get your non-rev tickets. If I were on the ER or the 320 in MSP, I'd definately have a MD card in. I rolled the dice on 330 in ATL. Got free crash pad there and a car to use, so, ***. Nu |

If you think that closing the 330 in MSP is a small thing, just wait for the results. The second most senior paying jet, where more of the A's live in base. If they opt to stay and not retire, we are going to see some ugliness.

Nu The 765 in NYC may go real junior FWIW. |

They decided to close CVG a long time ago. They're just doing it slowly.
