Especially since you can't get from LGA to JFK easily. Just fly them from LGA to ATL then ATL to Europe. Doesn't seem smart to me, but I'm sure it looks good to the bean counters. I bet JFK shrivels up, especially of the swap finally goes through.

Really????

Ah! Makes sense.

I wonder what would be fenced out of a deal like this.

Not sure what you are referring to, but there are only 2 fences.. when they fall, there are no more. (Hint: try the quote button if you want others to follow your comment)

He's referring to a possible HAL acquisition.

To which I say... change to a longevity based pay system, and give 'em DOH.

That ought to stir the hornets.. :D

DOH isn't an option anymore since our list is no longer based on DOH.

True dat.. and I must ad a disclaimer to my previous post: It was not intended to revive any SLI debate, but to provoke thought as to the benefit of a LGBP system. To any who's blood pressure that post raised, my sincere apologies.

That's what my classmate said he was going to do. I don't know if he will still be able to hold it after all the displacements though.

One guy on the ALPA board even said he was going to the -9. But, I think he is hoping to sit at home on reserve on a shrinking fleet.

FWIW, I expect the vast majority of pilots who live in MSP to try to stay in MSP. Those guys just don't like to commute.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see the displaced DTW 320 pilots who can't hold ATL to go over to MSP if they can hold it. They just like the airplane -- must be the tray table's.

Because of this, IMO, this bid has potential to bring ugliness to MSP way more than it does for DTW.

Not true. There are easy ways to deal with out of order lists. No comment on whether that would be a player or not, but it certainly is possible. Delta's list was not in DOH order prior to the merger.

Ok then, let's just say its a more complicated option...

You know we've got a massive terminal construction/rehab project underway at JFK, right? Price tag in over a billion if I'm not mistaken.
