Yes, and there was no advancement of the thrust levers in the final two seconds between "whoa..." and first impact.

If I recall the details (from reading the hundred-page ALPA report 4 years ago) "V1-rotate" were called out well before reaching actual V1, and there was increasing backpressure on the yoke as the pavement ended.

Lots of guys have gotten CRJs off runway 26 in LEX, but they were using Microsoft Flight Sim and not trying to save on engine wear.

Yea, I just looked it up, the V1 was called 6 knots early and Rotate was 11 knots early (240 or so feet from the end, he knew something was not right) 1 second later the control column was moved full aft (the report said approx 10 degree/second rotation rate)

I agree with all of that Shiz. I'd love to see a night override and a min reserve guarantee of somewhere north of 75 hours. Plus, SC has to be paid. Other then that, I'd be a yes with a solid scope.

I'd be getting some of that nice night override tonight... off to another redeye.

I wonder how many deerstrikes we would avoid using normal thrust just prior to dawn and just after dusk?

I'd take a redeye over those 6am departures any day. Have fun, 80! :D

Especially those wonderful LAX trips that are a redeye followed 24 hrs. later by a 6 AM east coast wakeup back to LAX for a wopping 3 day 10:30 trip. Where's min (5:15 would be great to start) DAILY credit.

Even at my previous carrier which is merging with the big airline in TX, has a 4:00 min/day. This 3-day crap worth 10:30 has to stop.

The fine print would be striking a balance between decent layover, and min rest, so that the lines aren't looking like SWA, but still manages to have some rest.

And OU #1? I'm fine with that if we implement the OU rule. No matter where OU is at the end of the season they don't get to go to the BCS National Title. :D

Speaking of college football. Where can I hit LIKE on this forum? I like ^^^^ the name. :D

Agreed. There should be NO rankings until at least the 5th week of the season. I think the opposite of what you said will happen though. There will be even MORE cupcake games in the early part of the season.

A better screen name would be fusucks though... hehehehe

GO BIG ORANGE

I wonder how many would be avoided by not using rjs at all.

Strangely at Delta, never hit a deer, hit darn few birds, but been absolute hell on Iguana and other Reptiles.

I got a couple of turtles. The tower sent me the pics of what an airplane does to a turtle. Almost got a gator once.
