Now if only our union leadership was ready to fight :(... but I digress.
I'll be 52 next month. Scope is a non-starter for me. I don't care what kind of pay increase they dangle in front of us. If it includes any kind of concession on scope, it's a BIG NO! And I also obviously have more confidence in our union leadership than you, as I think they nearly universally agree as well. I have ZERO concerns that we will see a scope sale on any upcoming contract or LOA. ZERO. |

Scope should start by making everyone a delta pilot. That means Comair and Delta Elite or anything owned by Delta that does brand flying. No need to have barriers between your own company.
Followed by recapturing flying aka west coast by immediate termination of Alaska code share and code shares previously mentioned in the thread that Delta pilots should be doing. There is no way we will ever agree to anything like that without first framing the discussion around the necessary preconditions. |

I'd say UPS does win but FedEX has an unlimited amount of feeder aircraft allowed. The Mountain Air Cargo types have no cap unless I'm reading challenged today. LUV has no regional planes but they are selling flights to Mexico by using Volaris via some kind of "connecting" arrangement. I don't know the details but I assume SWAPA signed off on this?

I doubt Volaris is doing half of SWA's block hours. As for FedEx, what size feeder aircraft can they operate? We can give the company unlimited piper cub (65 hp or less) and they can have at their outsource fantasy and get a million of them if they want.

Hey Past,
This effectively limits scope a/c to Caravan, and F27 turboprops.....except for peak relief which is contractual and generates penalty dollars paid by the company.....is this still correct ? Regards, BG I believe all the F27's are gone. ATR42's and possibly 72's have replaced them. The scope is probably similar to what it was when you were here other than the MTGW was increased from 50K to 60K. Past... |

I remember seeing the Kalitta whales doing the santa claus extra lift over the holidays... I was always interested to know what sort of contractual obligations there were to the FDX pilots with those wet leases.
