Right now, we're at all of the DAL-S bases. I've been hearing for at least a year that we were going to start doing more flying to the south. That has picked up a little but not as much as rumored. We just canceled the remaining order we had for more. Perhaps because of the Alaskan arrangement. Maybe ACL can shed some light?

What does it mean when you do a walkaround on an MD-88 and it is not leaking oil?

You are out of oil.

I did a walkaround one notice a massive hydraulic leak on the inbound flight and during their put-to-bed walkaround. I'm still not sure how they didn't notice 10 quarts of hydraulic loss. The *entire* tail of the aircraft behind the gear and below the engines was yellow and dripping with fluid. There were puddles of fluid from the gear all the way to the tailcone section.

I took pictures with my cellphone because I couldn't believe it.

I agree, it's like the 73N crews have some sort of Cosa Nostra code where they get all suspicious when people start asking about what seniority would hold what, where the trips are, the ALV's, etc. It's seems like the best kept secret in DAL.....what's the deal?

The 73N is a big mystery. I see it going to LAX and ATL to high and hot southern route.
It is one that no one has talked about. I know there are plans, but it is very fluid with this jet.
Think thin 757 routes.

White Slip (Out of Base)

I tried dropping my first out of base White Slip today. It was for next month. I didn't get it, I'm not sure if it was because of 30/7. If not...

Can you White Slip Out of base a month in advance or do you have to wait until the date is closer?

Thanks

I'd tell you but they swore us to secrecy during training. Should we divulge our secret, we get banished to the mad dog. Only the enlightened few shall know. Shhhhh....:p

Is it the trips, the jet itself, hot FA's have a thing for the 73?
