We got Bin Laden. Certainly we can go get the salvage parts we left behind, right?
Surprised the locals have not turned the parts into housing materials, goat pins and cooking utensils. |

What was hockeypilot's over/under that he pulled out of his nether regions? 60?
I bet it's not going to be all that many... I bet 200 at the most. I'm gonna pull out of my nether regions 115. |

Interesting look at what we may have coming in the future, from AW&ST: Air Canada is contemplating a third attempt at a low-cost subsidiary…to operate 30 A319s and 20 B767s. *Proposed under a new tentative labor accord with the mainline carrier's pilots, will hire crews under a separate mechanism, with hourly wages and DC plans instead of the salaries and DB plans offered legacy pilots.
Is Air Canada ALPA? Air Canada Jazz has been operating 757's for a while now as Thomas Cook Charters. I've been calling that a big RED FLAG but no one down here does not seem to understand the risk of our holding company operating Delta Private Jets in constant violation of our scope. Agreed, AC has a real scope problem. The pilots are so upset about the TA that there is likely going to be a recall of the MEC. |

I really doubt the SEALs or pilots in the "fog of war" really had the time or concern to "hide the IR signature of the TR gearbox" in the 40 minutes they were in the compound.
More like, get Geronimo, the intel, and get the F out before the Pakistanis roll in hot. |

The picture looks to me like the upper rotor mast of an MH-6 "Littlebird", also used by the 160th SOAR. (FTB, that's the pic I was attempting to post.) I've only flown Blackhawks in my previous life for eight years in the Army, so don't take my word for it, but it isn't the cowling of a "highly modified H-60 tail rotor", and there is no "IR signature to mask" on the tail rotor gearbox when you have two 701C 1600+hp engines blasting hot air from the exhaust, only feet in front of the tail rotor/tail boom section. Fly safe, GJ Someone slept during ground school and TTPs! |

Here's another perspective. That right there is not a main rotor mast. I stand by my theory of some sort of very quiet tail rotor:

I'm thinking Navy Cross for every member of ST6 actually on the mission.
Thank you, from all of us. |
I too was a South guy, I assumed N and S got same letter regarding recall options.
Like I said in my original reply... based on certain conditions, it can be 14 years. <<They have 14 years to decide now, based on certain things... The 10 year cut off date was modified slightly after the merger->> Last time I heard BB in ATL talk about it, he didn't think many of the remaining would return ever. That's just what he had said after talking to many of them- (besides the one's that returned last fall)

As fDAL, I got the same letter. It basically said that if you gave notice that you wanted to return prior to the 10-year window closing, the company would extend your recall rights to the 14-year point. During this four year period you will be required to return at the first offer of a training date.
I don't think any modification to the PWA was ever made. If they apply this standard, I suppose any pilot that has not put in for recall at the 10-year point could be dropped off the SL. The rest will remain until 14-years or the next hiring cycle, whichever occurs first. |
Looks like 80 called it.
