I'm hoping for more than that...because I'm a person of respect for the dead. I understand that per his religious tradition, his body was washed prior to being wrapped in the sheet and tossed overboard. My hope is that he was "washed" by about 100 sailors with very full bladders.

First of all, "dude" just won't do, so if you'd like my number and care to call me we can discuss in greater length helicopter theory/aerodynamics, send me a PM and I'll give you my contact information there.
I realize now that it's not an MH-6 upper rotor mast. So I don't repeat myself, reference the above post. Referencing your "IR signature" comments, I'm starting to believe that you were the one who slept through ground school/refresher academics/TTP's. For everyone elses reading pleasure why don't you discuss with me the "Class" of IR signature the exhaust system emits through the HIRSS's vs. what "Class" the "tiny little tail rotor gearbox" emits??? Come on......."DUDE". (I'd explain to you the logic of an IR seeker head, but not for "Public Forum" purposes, so why don't you PM me and we can talk about your current prescription.):D As always, even for you TOGA, :) Fly safe, GJ |

Thanks! I'm having serious Bus withdrawal though. They got this big control wheel thingy in your lap all the time, and I keep forgetting to hit LNAV to go direct.
In time I guess. I hope they bring something French to ATL sooner than later :p So far driving to work is everything I dreamed it could be. I keep pulling for the STL minihub for you. I'll keep hoping for the STL mini hub too, but I think I'll be hoping for the rest of my career. :p |
Perhaps?

Any SA from the Council 66 meeting today?

Discussions of impending retirements is always an interesting topic among pilots. Those of us who are closer to retirement than when we checked out in the left seat see reality differently from the younger crowd. I am always amazed by the excitement of some expected early retirements and a few years later we are bashing those folks and the union leadership that allowed some "special deal". When pilots retire, all the others move up, right?
Well, it is interesting to look at the seniority of those pilots who will have to retire in the next 2 years. There are about 60 pilots who will reach age 65 by this time in 2013. Of those pilots 23 of them have seniority numbers greater than 5000. Wow. Only 7 have double digit seniority numbers. Two of them have 5 digit seniority numbers. What a spread. Not like the retirements up through the end of the millennium. Now we have lots of pilots in junior positions that will retire. That means only those very junior remaining pilots will move up in seniority from those retirements. But it still means lots of movement among categories for those remaining. Of all the "needs" in the upcoming contract we all would benefit from improvements in our retirement funding. A few added percents to the DC plan would help as would added funding in the way of maximizing IRS allowed contributions to the Pilots Plan. Those accounts will one day be what most of us live on and I personally don't want it to run out. |
