Pretty soon we'll all be facing toward ATL 5 times a day and saying our devotions.

Seriously, I see the need to consolidate to lower the overhead, but having a little bit of room to flex training is a worthwhile cost. We have scheduled retirements coming up and after the May 10 AE, they're still digging out the training backlog on the A320 and the 7ER.

This is what I'm concerned with. With 2 training centers we can't handle the pipeline....

and not to mention the facility itself. I'm a south guy, and if I never saw ATL again it would be too soon.

How many sims are at NATCO? Do they even have enough bays to accomplish this in ATL? Moving all the sims?

I would never leave MSP if I was a instructor. Atlanta just plain blows! This is coming from a guy that lived in Atlanta for 20 years and finally escaped!

Looks like the commute from ATL to MSP will get even harder for those making the commute.

Anyone else smell an "F" bomb after this next AE?

Looks like the HF radios may be fun the next day or so:

Still too hard to say. I'm hearing the H word still more than F.

Furloughs would not correlate with the upcoming reduction in training capacity.

One thing is for sure, if they feel they will have the excess time to move sims, they obviously feel they won't be needed for pilot training.

Looks like I was right about no hiring in 2011.

Personally, I think Bar was right, just a bit early in his prediction.

Bingo. Furloughs require a crapload of training.

I still don't see how you think this. Look at Age 65 retirements. In 4 years we are looking at 300+ a year. It really doesn't pay off.
