Not to change the nonrev chatter, but records called today to ask if I had a current pilot certificate as they didn't have one on file. Hard to believe they didn't ask that before they trainined me and allowed me to fly several hundred hours with passengers.
I had to mention to her this fact and she too thought it a little strange to be asking about my pilot certificate information at this point in my employment.
:D Ahh the attention to detail!

Whoa alert... Moving Natco to ATL, that blows.

Yeah. Adios Natco and Building C. Even though I'm on South equipment in a South base, I gotta admit I'm a little bummed. Kind of the last gasp of the company that hired me.

Totally sentimental I know but it stinks.

Just got the e-mail. First, how does this affect the financial deal with the MSP airport authority and second, where on the ATL campus is there enough room for all of the training?

Pretty soon we'll all be facing toward ATL 5 times a day and saying our devotions.

Seriously, I see the need to consolidate to lower the overhead, but having a little bit of room to flex training is a worthwhile cost. We have scheduled retirements coming up and after the May 10 AE, they're still digging out the training backlog on the A320 and the 7ER.

It's a huge blow to morale in Minnie, the fortress that used to train all sorts of pilots from DC9 to 747... Can't imagine native Minnesotans would even consider uprooting their families and move to Atlanta.

Very sad day for our flt sim and flt attendant training staff.

Did anyone really expect that the company would keep duplicate facilities, especially in this environment?

This has been in the cards since day 1.
Everybody knew that except the Minnesota politicians.

Training is shrinking every year. Mostly computer based, CDs and memos already.
There's plenty of room in Atlanta.

Hey God...another 15 minutes please?

Carl

You've done well up to this point.

She looks Jersey-licious with a spray on tan, waaay too sweaty, and in general, looks uncomfortable to snuggle up to.

Have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the path you've chosen.

Like your AE, 'next week'.

Kidding - it depends on your phone, but whenever Android 2.3 comes to your HTC phone, the blockage on sideloaded apps should be gone.

FYI - Not a phone/tech guy, just telling you what I've read.
