You could do what that little ALPA LCC on the C and D gates does; If the door is closed you get paid ....

Tell RA that if you're not getting paid and the APU decides to burst into flame, you'll quietly gather your belongings, call him and walk off the airplane.

He gets paid for all of his duties. Right ?

Tee hee. You said duties.

(and I agree)

He says, the very reason we only get paid 70 for reserve is because...some guys only work 6, 7 days.

Most guys work right up to 70 hrs, the key is some guys. So his quote above says that he thinks thats its accepted what we get paid for reserve. I think it should be higher and would like to think our pilot group would too. So what do you not get at all

He says that's the reason we get paid a 70 hour reserve guarantee. What I don't get is how you automatically think he thinks that a 70 hour reserve guarantee is acceptable to him. He doesn't say that. He just says that's the reason. (Whether it's true or not, I don't know) I just think you are reading too much into his words. That's all.

Denny

You forgot the 1 after the 6. I corrected other parts for you.

The new ACARS software, block out is not just the cabin door. It's both cargo doors closed, the front door, and then brake release.

Pay us at sign in and stop paying 30 min after last block in of the day. Clock doesn't stop, 5+15 minimum a day. I'd do that at current rates. This would force the trip builders to construct highly productive trips.

That's my contract proposal...

Question for the AE experts. If one bids %'s on their current aircraft in hopes of continuing to hold a line, followed by a new category with no restrictions(i.e. ATL 320B @ 75%, MSP 7Er) and then fills out a VD for a new category is it possible to hold that percentage but still be awarded the VD?

In short, if you can hold the lowest % you are requesting on your AE card for your current aircraft, will you hose yourself out of a possible line by submitting a VD? Or will the company say "Ok, so and so wants XX% and will hold that on the conversion date therefore we won't even look at his/her VD/MD cards".....???

Thanks in advance, and hope this makes sense. :o
