BTW, Breaking Bad starts up again Jul 17 on AMC. You've got time to watch the first three seasons in the next two weeks. Awesome show.

Now, just to complicate this, SWA averages a little over 80 hours per regular line per month. If we use their data that says they average a little over 13 days per month per regular line, that comes out to about 6:10 per day. Now if they get to 90.5 hours per month, that would put them around 14.5-15 days per month on average. This doesn't include reserve line holders.

Please, let me know how this all adds up. Delta shares data with all the other domestic carriers and they know the answers to all these questions. I don't, but they do. They will not be swayed by a glossy brochure meant to get Airtran pilots to give up on their seniority integration and they will not be swayed by internet blowhards that don't know crap about anything but don't let them stop bloviating anyway.

My 5-year old was watching Scooby Doo on Cartoon Network and they ran an ad for Breaking Bad during the commercials. I'm guessing AMC and CN are owned by the same folks.

Thanks for posting. If you have the time, it is my understanding that SW has an approximate 10% profit sharing payout. If you are able to deduct your profit sharing from your W2, could you let us know if its around 10% and your new adjusted W2?

I'll now have done two days flying on reserve for a whopping 5:13 total. A lineholder would be paid 10:30 for the same thing. It just doesn't seem fair.

I don't know if I'm an internet blowhard and I certainly don't know crap about much. But what I'm absolutely sure of is that I'm working much harder for much less money and much less time off than at any time in my 24 years at the big D.

Now I don't expect alpa to give away our negotiating secrets. However, RA & EB have mentioned at many of the investor calls this year that they don't expect any significant changes to payroll going forward. Surely alpa can state firmly and at every opportunity the exact amount of sacrifice the Delta pilots have made to keep this company alive, and further that we rightly expect very significant increases in all areas of our compensation in the near future.

Alpa has completely lost touch with the line pilot. It is for this and for too many other reasons to list, that I have sent in my DPA card.

I asked this question and was told to let them know if I don't want to receive my printed copy. That way they can make that copy available to college students or other prospective members. I figured they might gain some more regional airline members this way so I didn't do it.
