I have no dog in this fight. I'm one of those mythical '95 hire north guys who moved up 3% on the combined list and all but beat DOH too.......yes I keep my mouth shut during discussions in the bar, beer mugs are hard.

Darn Ferd,

You have blown our cover. Now I have to wear a helmet at the bar.... :rolleyes:

<hint: we don't exist.>

We will be taking delivery of several next year, and so far no one from fnwa has made an argument that new 777s should be "replacements" for the (1 or 2?) pax 747-200s being retired....didn't Bloch say "replacements for these aircraft, 747 and 787? No mention of which model 747? There is no replacement for the pax 747-200, it is as simple as that, they are simply getting rid of an uneconomical asset. The same would be true, theoretically of the 747-400...why else would they get rid of them?

Nothing of the above is correct. Nothing.

Again, everything above is either incorrect or your own personal speculation.

Or would you like to gamble that your group will be awarded scores of already fenced 777s as replacements for both 747s and 787s? and that it will be worth the cost of disharmony and contention in the pilot group for the next 5 years?

I would be willling to look at anything, but that's not the point. The point is that fences and seniority numbers are one in the same. Each were CONSTRUCTED based on the other's existence. This is absolutely clear in the arbitrator's final decision.

Once again, if we all decided we wanted to "look" at this again, we would have to legally "look" at the entire Seniority List Integration - not just the fences or the seniority numbers.

Carl,

Well said, it is a stand alone legal document and you just can't pick and choose. Guess I should have clarified that above too, just trying to point out why I don't think anyone would be interested in opening up this can of worms.

I don't know why we are going back to this discussion. Everyone (well most people) have different problems with the list. I guess that is what makes it a good list.

As much of a crazy ride this thing is on the north side, I have been too busy learning new procedures and organizing manuals. I think if the southies had more to do they wouldn't be dwelling on all this AGAIN.

Wanna borrow my helmet? It already has foil in the top so the spacewidgets can't see you:D

Not entirely a fair shot - there are many of us, like you, who just want to move beyond the stupid list and work together for the next contract.......

Didn't mean it as a cheep shot. Sorry if it seemed that way.

I have been real impressed with our group, lots of changes and frankly a lot of stress because of that. In general, I think we are dealing with it with a lot of humor and hard work to get things perfectly right. But, that is the kind of guys we are. Like I said, I was really suprised to see this all dragged up again.

No, it ain't. But the truth has never gotten in the way of the north pilots before, so why start now?

No worries. I was, in equal parts, surprised and disappointed to see this topic brought up again. Appreciate your level-headed style. A little bit of that goes a long way. Cheers.
