Quick question, don't we get 6 golden days a month? Just checked my September schedule and it only has 5. I do have recurrent sims does that have anything to do with it? Thanks.

Look at page 4 or 5 in the bid pack. That shows the table for X days, golden days, days available to work, etc. BFS |

I could be wrong but I think you only get 5 golden days in a 30 day bid period when you have sim. I assume you have a 3 day block for sim?

Any CAL guys around? I remember they were doing a EWR-somewhere in Latin America and flew a 3 man crew on the 737 so that they could do a 2 leg 8+ hour trip.

The 737-900? Well let's talk about the pro's. It's a narrow seating aircraft so it's really great for small people. It's low riding, which means there is no room for engine improvement. It's very long, so it takes forever to get off of and it's limited due to tail strikes on rotation. It has a cockpit that complies with SWA demands to have commonality with a 30 year old design. It's a longer version of an airplane we stopped ordering. It will replace the 757. Blah. Two thumbs down. Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL) plans to order 100 Boeing Co. (BA) 737 single-aisle jets, a deal with a list value of about $8.58 billion, in a rebuff to Airbus SAS, two people familiar with the matter said. Delta’s order would be for 737-900ER extended-range jets, and the Atlanta-based company’s board will vote on the matter later this week, said one of the people, who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly. Delta doesn’t comment on its plans for aircraft purchases, said Trebor Banstetter, a spokesman for the carrier. John Dern, a Boeing spokesman, didn’t immediately return a message seeking comment. |
