-i know, just saying at first glance-

I dunno about anyone else but that's how us Texas boys do it! ;)

hey, so when we do merge with Alaska, the fact we're replacing the 752s with 739s hurt us in an SLI?

If you look at the history of seniority arbitrations you will see that there are three items that figure into the outcomes:

Status and category
Longevity (date of hire)
Career expectations (contract, growth, etc.)

If you haven't notice these are the three items listed in ALPA merger policy.

Not that integrating 1,500 pilots into 12,000 is really all that noticeable, but just saying for those who all of this would matter a lot too.

I think Fonzie explans the 739 order best...

The numbers on the 737-900 are the same as the -800, so maybe it will not be too bad. Still, loading and unloading through that narrow entrance is going to take f o r e v e r.

FTB, an SLI with Alaska would not effect 80% of the list at all. At the bottom, it would be disastrous. In effect, we'd be narrow body pilots, or FO's the rest of our careers.

My hope is that AS stock remains so expensive that Delta's Board feels that the share exchange would cost them too much.

I'd much rather be something closer to a "pilot" than a systems operator.

Comfortable offices are for wimps.

Your comfortable 763 office doesn't come with a table with a 120 pound weight limit. :D

just saying...

We'll still try and make it a 47 minute turn.

Especially in ATL as it does the ATL-MCO run or ATL-FLL/PBI wheelchair run.

Aka The Flight Attendant Jump seat! It lost that name as of late because finding a 120lb FA here at delta is like finding the ever allusive leprechaun in Alabama.

Says a guy whose probably never flown an Airbus. Actually you're right, the sidestick is impossible to master and the tails are always falling off. What was I thinking?

But it does come with throttles that move, a yoke that moves so I know what the other guy is doing and all that... after all, we are there to fly the airplane are we not? I just don't like the idea of being engineered out of the loop.. especially by the French. But to each his own. I plan on finishing my career on the 767. If it gets replaced by some poodle loving, cheese eating surrender monkey designed flying transportation system, I guess you will move up a little faster.

Never said either of those things... sensitive are we?

Irish? Really?

My question is, did ACL get scooped on airplane order news?
