  • Easier SLI with AK as "we both fly the same aircraft"
But in the end, The Don doesn't pick a 737 for his travels...

Dude, when you are sitting seven feet off the pavement looking though bunker slits, that 170 MPH looks like 170MPH and with 4mm of gear travel, even hitting a runway light knocks you into the air momentarily.

It could be debated if the -900 actually flies away from the runway, or just takes a good bounce, to get to its destination.

At least this thread is interesting again. I'd rather hear about new airplanes any day than hear more squawking about DALPA vs. DPA.

FWIW, I'd much rather see an Airbus order myself. Boeing has milked the "most successful" commercial aircraft for a little too long in my opinion.

Any aircraft that requires TWO tailstrike indicators has been stretched just a little too much (Plus the Airbus cockpit is WAAAAY more comfortable)

I was/am expecting Airbus to win a lot of the order. Fits in well with what we have, good value to the aircraft, and from the conference call a few months ago, Anderson said himself that Boeing needs better numbers. I suspect that the new engine on the B737 combined with price cuts (from increased production) is what's making the difference.

But is the 737-900ER getting the new engine? Haven't heard that talked about.

Did we get a discount on the Chinese MD-90 that did this:

I was looking for the 739 VMU test video...

At least Boeing knows how to make a good pun!

Boeing puts onthe dogs at 737-900 rollout

By Tricia Duryee
Seattle Times business reporter

Three-time Iditarod champion Doug Swingley and his six dogs pulled a sled on wheels to help introduce the new 737 yesterday to thousands of Alaska Airlines and Boeing employees and guests at the Boeing plant in Renton.
Come to think of it, the airplane could use the help of six sled dogs.

That was a three wire. What's the problem?

I think Bar just answered the why IF this is true about the 739s...

I can't get it to embed: Video of Trump's B757: Mr. Trump's 757 - YouTube

That's how all our 757 cockpits should look, and md-88/90's for that matter.

Naaaaaah it's a Boeing or...

I'd much rather be something closer to a "pilot" than a systems operator.

Comfortable offices are for wimps.
