Combining our C and D operation in ATL is probably one of the smartest moves DAL could make. I mean that. They can have D.

That is random!
Vacancies: ATL330A- 6 ATL330B- 5 DTW330A- 12 DTW330B- 5 SEA330A- 12 SEA330B- 5 Surpluses- ATL777A- 15 ATL777B-15 Should cause some good cascading in the right direction overall. Not sure how the 777 surplus will hit ATL though. |

So we would trade permanent... let that sink in for a minute.. permanent gate spaces for a bunch of airplanes that we really don't want. Seriously? I think it would be smarter to keep them hamstringed into several gates at different locations rather than to consolidate THEIR operations. But what do I know...

As a Gator, I rarely agree with anything TSquare says. He's right. Make life difficult for our "enemy," especially at our biggest hub.

Very correct T. On you next post about the a/e I also agree with that post. It is frustrating to be at a stagnant carrier that just continues to reallocate assets...FTB was also spot on IMO ref the trip parking's contribution to the 777 shrinkage. I'll believe we are getting aircraft when they are on the ramp in DAL paint, until then, I enjoy speculating as much as the next person. |

We are almost back to the full HNL-Japan schedule that NWA had in the mid 90's. Now if we could just reinstate HNL-SYD and HNL-ICN...
I was hired by DAL in 1969 so I am aware of a lot of Delta history, Northwest not so much, but I'd like to learn more. Witzend |

You know I can't help but notice that the reallocation of assets is moving us into lower paying airframes slowly but surely. First 100 737's to replace 757's and possibly even a few larger a/c and now 777's seats moving to 330's. :(
