I also got tagged for jury duty in September. You need to call the CPSC and tell them. They will give you a fax number to fax your jury summons (with dates) to. It popped up on my line about 2 hours after I faxed it.

Just to add, it sounds like the 320 sims will be moving south first. Have to keep things spooled down as much as possible to facilitate the training center consolidation.

While two of the A320 sims are scheduled to make the move early next year, that really doesn't have any impact to the throughput. We will be contracting sim time during the transition.

When do the actual contract negotions start?

From the Friday Code A Phone, a good story about one of our captains helping out the gate agent working a full flight by herself. Good stuff. But I have two questions:

1. Did the company take anything from the fact that the captain felt he had to step in to help the gate agent who was working the flight by herself? Perhaps consider doing something to stop the routine practice of providing one gate agent for flights like this one?

2. The flight was able to depart six minutes early. Wonderful. I think it's safe to assume that as busy as things sounded dispatch wasn't contacted to authorize an early departure, so is the rule on departing no greater than five minutes early no longer in effect?

NewK's Sudoku puzzles involve fractions.

Jesse

I agree. I'm all for helping passengers, like pushing wheelchair or going after strollers. But helping out a gate agent masks a problem and enables poor management.

Are you kidding me? On a productivity sit flying up "North" I witnessed that firsthand, with a Q&A session with the reps. When someone asked about a payraise in the vicinity of SWA rates, there was a lot of shaking of heads and wincing. Managing of expectations. I then shook my head and went to my gate. Not second or third hand. Not all LECs think alike.
