They also know that a big percentage of our pilot group is not really paying that much attention. Without a massive change in involvement of the average line pilot, I don't see how this problem can be fixed. Sorry to be a "Debby Downer."
I flew with one of those guys recently. Everything I brought up (that I thought needed changing) his response was always the same..."well the company's argument to that is....". My favorite was that he argued for the company that reserve pilots deserve to have smaller trip rig. Unbelievable.

Every single item I brought up was met with the company's argument for why it should be that way. Finally I quit and changed subjects. It was clear that he didn't represent the pilots and never would. Kills me that this was what my dues dollars was buying.

So the guys on am680 sports talk radio were talking about this girl from Glee that is on the front cover of FHM and this is what she was wearing...

Intrigued... Auburn connection or does she just like to wear the clothing of the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS... and who cares...

Gotta love football.

Wow Reroute! Looks like The Manager has "managed" to strike a nerve with DALPA! Sounds like a logical argument he brings up as to why we are having our expectations managed downward. Still waiting for DALPA guys to utter the word..."restoration plus" in public!

Not sure...., but if I were an expectation-management-DALPA-guy, I wouldn't want a guy like The Manager poking around the policy manual. Sounds like he can interpret the lawyer talk and read between the lines pretty well!

Isn't there another end of the spectrum to consider?

I mean. wouldn't there be a significant amount of widebody pilots who bid to smaller equipment so they could be senior and/or be at home more, or not have to deal with the hassle of time zone changes, customs, etc?

My guess is that it we went with longevity pay the most senior aircraft on the property would be the 767, followed by the A320. The 88 might even make it up near the top if guys could get away with one day turns.

Of course, that's just a guess. What do you guys think?

I'm not DALPA and ignorance rarely strikes a nerve. He just needs to get his facts straight. If he does his own homework it will stick better than being spoon fed.

And I'm still waiting for the guys who are yelling for "restoration plus!" to remind everyone they voted against the C2K contract they want restored too.

Put another way - Please ALPA! Give me back what I voted against!

I don't want the delusional expectations of the Always Vote No crowd blurring the objective for the rest of us.

C2K was a great contract. I hear plenty of the "geniuses" who voted against it then admitting it now. It's the credibility, stupid!

A Northwest guy is Chief Pilot in Atlanta?
So much for the Visine theory.

I heard they took him to Waffle House for his final test.
Waitress asked him "Grits or toast?" He obviously chose correctly.

Welcome to Hotlanta Krash. Now, about this contract thing.......

He'd have to have said toast. I don't know any southerners who eat grits either, so he's have to show authenticity.

It's a trick. Just like all those interview questions and psych questions, I never did not love my father...
