(1) Delta Private Jets weight requirements exceed that permitted flying as defined by our PWA. If you say "so what, that's a charter" what do you call a 747 full of troops or a 767 with a pro sports team, or Thomas Cook Charters which are 757's flying across the Atlantic piloted by AC's RJ division. It's non compliance we need to address by demanding OUR JOBS back.
(2) We are to operate 50% of the EASK (similar to ASM metrics) with AF/KLM. If they are growing 10.7% year over year and we are shrinking 12 to 18% seasonally, then it appears their half is a lot better than our half. The actual JV language is confidential, but it is referenced in our contract. IMHO we should grieve it. Those are our international Captain jobs being outsourced and some very choice flying assignments to say the least.

Bar,

The Delta Private Jets was formally grieved, & we won. That flying has been ceased. Yesterday at the DTW 20 Council meeting a resolution was passed to release all grievance info to the pilot group(excluding individual grievances for termination, etc). We as a group know the Delta Private Jets was grieved/won, but we don't know why or how. That's what many of us want. We will see where that resolution goes.

WRT the JV flying, I know our union watches like a hawk. I believe we will maintain balance.

While there are many areas of my work life that need to be improved, and I've never hesitated to point out what I believe needs to be fixed, I've got to take this opportunity to give my employer a thumbs up.

My grandfather passed earlier this week. Without going into all the details, everyone I talked to from management was so unbelievably warm, and helpful and their condolences were so sincere, I was slightly taken aback.

While we do have a lot of work to do and a lot of improvements to make, there are a lot of great people who work here, which makes this a great place to be. I'll leave it at that.

Sorry to hear my friend! You're right, when my dad passed everyone at the company AND union couldn't have been better.

Condolences and prayers New. I agree, my experiences have been the same. Despite a lot of the issues we've discussed, the company and union do care about the people.

A minor example: about a year ago I had just landed at MCO and my wife called to tell me she'd broken her leg, was at the ER and our three kids 12, 8 and 5 were home alone. She couldn't reach any neighbors.

I called the duty pilot and 15 mins later DAL had me on an LA-bound jet. Pretty amazing. They didn't blink an eye.

I hope you are right. I am a low seniority reserve that hasn't flown in over a month. It is nice to get paid not to work and all, but I hope that doesn't mean they need to cut back.

Thanks guys. I'm glad that there are other good stories out there for situations like this.

Heyas FtB,

I dunno. This whole forced SLI cram down at AT sounds like a setup.
