Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Only way is with a phone call to scheds, unfortunately. I do it occasionally and they are usually pretty good about it, but sometimes seem a little put off. I too wish we had a way to tell them what we want without calling and bothering them. They pick up the phone all day, probably last thing they want is our little personal requests, but I still do it.
It would be nice to be able to communicate some basic info to them without having to take up their time with a phone call. Seems really silly that I have to call them to tell them I'm using my 2 hour commute that they can't deny me.

Slot Swap... What a disappointment. Massive infrastructure expenditure to support more outsourcing. It's no surprise now that the last bid was a net zero. To say that this supports upgauging in other hubs ignores the fact that no new captain seats are available to anyone in the system on a net basis. If a market like NYC can't support mainline service, then why would DTW, SLC, MSP be able to do so?
What's more, this represents a major downgrade to our product. Our HVC's will leave in droves after being subjected to the regional experience. In a market like NYC, with all the media exposure, this impending service disaster will likely lead to more reactionary laws and 'customer bill of rights' type of legislation that will further erode our careers and the status of the airline we work for. FAIL : (

Spot on post. Yet another kick to the groin.
On the positive side, at the school house, heard we are keeping many of the 320s that were gonna go away after the new 739s come around.

Cut and Pasted directly from the Jan. 2012 Crew Resources Update:
One of the primary drivers of the Nov AE was the addition of 39 330 crews. This helped contribute to a net total of 42 new Captain positions being created from the AE. Some of the new captain positions were filled by upward movement from lower positions, including the DC9.

How do you know I told the truth?
Maybe I'm trying to throw the terrorists off the trail! I'm not going to tell him where we drink!
OR...maybe I'm a terrorist, arranging a meeting...of cheap airline pilots! (Happy hour is at 5pm!)
What was that noise?
Did you see something under the bed??
How about a more secure site? Where you have to actaully PROVE you are an airline pilot...and be vetted before you can log in?

Aren't you assuming that for that to be true the # of rj's remaining the same?Didn't the company recently sign a new agreement with gojet? So I think thus new rj expansion could be funded with the new influx of gojet aircraft and no effect on the other hubs that you mentioned. With respect to the erj questions of who operates them,asa/expressjet,chautauqua,and wasn't the gojet announcement for erj's or not?
It's not an RJ expansion. The GoJet flying is a transfer of jets from ASA to GoJet. ASA is losing RJ's, & GoJet is receiving the ones they are losing.
Wait.
It's rocket science or brain surgery, right?

I think the point is that even though the info can be found with a little work, not to make things easier, or to given anyone any ideas.
