Anyone else have similar problems? I used both IE and Firefox and both browsers did the same thing.

Had the problem with Firefox 8, not with IE 8.

Anyone know why we're now locked out of the crew room in LGA at night? No one is allowed in there between 9pm and 4am.

If this is true, kick the door in...or find a Delta Capt with the balls to do it for you. Unacceptable for Delta Air Lines, unacceptable for New York.

It is a good one. Capt. SD talks about the potential for more 737's and a revisit of the often talked about, never ordered, 100 to 120 seat jet in April to early summer 2012. There's also a mention of a need to gather a plan for a wide body beyond that and 747's flying in Delta colors at least until 2020.

The EFB will be a lot more than just electronic Jeps, he talks about an entire process from training to situation specific guidance. I understand if you spill your frosty beverage on the iPad it automatically pulls up VOL1 SP16 and the de-icing flow chart. No really ... I can see a day where they work an EFB into the cockpit flow so when in the sim you get a single engine landing to a contaminated runway there is no hunt for the ODM.

Of course, that could be just happy horse manure to deflect from the closing of a popular base. Funny, but he did have specifics about a base closure, but had tons of great ideas about what an EFB might be able to do. ... wonder if it will help you beat 6 connection pilots to a jumpseat. (and while we do have it bad, they set the records for opening and closing bases while not getting paid enough to move)

Or just find a mechanic and ask to borrow a big flat bladed screwdriver and make the necessary "repairs" to restore operation of the door. Frankly, it would be kind of cute to see it with the hinge pins in a parts bag and a deferral sticker applied.

Tis true the weekday is like that but not the weekends. We have GS's going out on the weekends. Check on TH and FR and look at the reserve availability list. If they spread the coverage out more evenly over the weekends then there would be the enormous disparity over the weekend. That said, they run out of pilots from time to time. Does the category need more pilots? We'll always take more pilots. :D But I doubt it. That's the danger of this coming AE for junior ATL 88 B pilots.

I've got to ask the "drop your line and WS" crowd, how much more money are you making over flying a line?

Is it like 100+ hours?

I don' t know, but I suspect it's a fair amount more than a regular line. When I had a line (once in the past two years...) I was looking to pick up a bit more, or improve my line. Everything interfered with what I already had.

I think if you have the cojones to drop it all and see what shows up, you might do OK.

Even if you drop your whole line, the max WS P/U credit is ALV+15, you may just work a less hours to get there.
