I've wondered the same thing. With the new 3 year plan, it sure looks like we gave the company 3 years of shrinkage opportunity. Did we change our side of the JV language unilaterally?

I am thinking about getting an Android powered Tablet. Does anyone have any experience with it working with iCrew? I know the browser on them are Chrome powered and I know the desktop powered Chrome doesn't work with iCrew. Is there a firefox for tablets? Thanks.

Thinking of getting the Transformer Prime BTW.

Yeah, still gave me problems. Talked to a few MX guys about it and they told me it just has something to do with how some of the older audio panels integrated with the newer ANR headsets that draw power from aircraft to power the noise reduction.

Actually used to be more frequent, now it seems to happen less.

The aircraft headsets seem to work fine in a pinch as long as you don't mind getting ear herpes.

Maybe the company should pitch in a get some confortable aircraft headsets.

If you get any of the "newer" tablet with at least Android Honeycomb on it, the stock browser would be fine with icrew. If you got a nook or kindle fire, i just found out there's a mozilla firefox derivative call Aurora that works well with icrew.

The 320 and 330 fleets are all equipped with company Telex 750's and they have an interphone system that works great. I love having an interphone system and not packing my own headset around.

No kidding. And the CA I flew with last trip tried to lecture me on how the SLI should have gone date of hire. I freaking ate him alive on that one.

You really want to have that discussion moderator?

Wise up!

I have no idea what that has to do with talking about this tender and unchangeable subject. When you offer up your position on this as though somebody needed to be "eaten alive" for it, that shows a great deal of pure dumb.

Moderators should know better.

Agreed. It would also be nice to not be permanently deaf in my left ear from having to lift the earcup so I can hear the other guy over the roaring noise in the cockpit. I wish more 737 guys would be down with the rubber band trick. So far I've flown with exactly 2 Captains in 6 months that wanted to use the rubber band.

It's kinda crazy that we don't have a user-friendly interphone system in the modern era. Couple that with a noisy 1960's-ish cockpit and we will all be deaf by the time we mandatorily retire at 75.
