Vandy doesn't suck. They are a good football team. Tennessee sucks. We got lucky and Rodgers threw a bad pass. IF there was a team that could be less than one dimensional, it would be UT. Not one single play did Bray take a snap from under center. Not one. Makes it kind of hard to run that QB sneak or student body up the middle on a 3rd and 1... No.. Vandy does not suck, and I will be pulling for them to win this Saturday agin the Deacons...

What happens to make them not work? Lots of feedback/squeal?

I've found 3 or 4 737's that do that as well with the 850's. On those, I've just worn the headset, and used the hand mic when necessary.

Anything to avoid the dreaded single-cup DC headclamp.

When you PTT you'll hear a loud steady tone/squeal. I believe it has something to do with the integrated noise-reduction (ANR) system.

Like I said, the 850s work on most of the 88's I've flown, but at least every other trip I'll find at least one aircraft with this issue and then I just use the Dave Clarks that are on the aircraft.

Hate to state the obvious, but are you sure you pushed the mic cord all the way into the jack? I've had this happen before, but that fixed it every time.

Mr. Greenberg never ran from the good fight or the market.

Hey, Elliot Spitzer fought very hard against prostitution.

Oh wait...

Had the same problem in a GA plane. Newer Telex ANR squeals, older Telex ANR was just fine.

I wouldn't have screamed sellout...not if the company agreed to SWAPA's scope in exchange for the waiver.

I'm reasonable. ;)

I think that's acceptable. :)

I do think Franklin has done an amazing amount in a very short period of time. While they'll never be an SEC powerhouse due to the size of the school, I do see bowl eligibility as a possibility next year.

We all know NewK will not cry when the DC-9 is ripped away from him, but I found something we could all pitch in and get him so he doesn't miss it too much. As he might be able to work out his schedule to sit at home and be on APC more it would be sweet that he types his APC messages on this..

Or he could lay his head down on this each night.

Yeah, still gave me problems. Talked to a few MX guys about it and they told me it just has something to do with how some of the older audio panels integrated with the newer ANR headsets that draw power from aircraft to power the noise reduction.

Actually used to be more frequent, now it seems to happen less.

The aircraft headsets seem to work fine in a pinch as long as you don't mind getting ear herpes.
