Do not mistake me offering logic for a lack of desire to reign in outsourcing. Far from it. At a min, I want a sunset clause for all DCI CPA's and a moratorium on all new contracts or extensions. The stuff needs to be flown here, period. My point is that, LGA will provide growth for DAL pilots, even under the current section 1, and I explained how.

You are right too Scambo, we gave it away, and now we are seeing the fruits of the concession. Ten plus years of stagnation, and unless we get all of Section 1 right, whether it be in a extension, modification, or a completed traditional section 6, this has to be fixed, period.

One of the guys on the DALPA forum suggested taking out a full page ad in the NYT calling the company out on their huge "expansion" in LGA and advising the public that Delta really isn't flying all of that new service, it's an outsourced RJ. I think it is an excellent idea, and time to show the company that this DCI cr@p won't be tolerated anymore.

Unfortunately the pax do not care, if it cost less and they get frequent flyer miles...

Is bringing the RJ in house and be the starting aircraft at Delta to much to ask?

There was a "Should Compass be stapled?" poll back when that was being discussed and it included four different levels of response with varying criteria for the yes or no.

Go do a search for it on here and see the astonishing number of your peers who voted a full fledged, no exceptions, "NO" for the staple idea which would place the E175 at mainline.

What many guys argued is a staple is great, but unless you can guarantee that those jets will not then be outsourced, and or the 255 cap on 70/76 seat jets be lowered, the idea of a staple would be a surefire way to get those pilots numbers and then subsequently furloughed.

Of course most went, Duh!, but the reality is unless you can simultaneously reign in the scope limits, bringing pilots to a list with out a guarantee of the jets staying on property ultimately would result in pilots with not jets, which would equate to no jobs and a resultant furlough.

Last time I checked, we voted in the contract with the current scope clause which allowed DCI to become what it is today. We need to take some blame, too. Hopefully, we've learned our lessons and will not give more flying away in the future. Maybe we'll even gain some of that flying back in 2012, but I'm not holding my breath.
