Can you say RJ city???

I remember some trying to say that a decent amount of our new flying out of LGA would be mainline, but most of us knew better.

Anybody think that maybe they are starting out with large RJ's due to the time of the year & to feel out loads? On my commute we have 6 flights a day year round, which in the summer is usually 4 mainline and 2 large RJ's. In the slower months it's typically 2-3 mainline and 3-4 large RJ's.

Just thinking out loud.

Sometimes you wonder if it was a comedy minus a kick butt opening sequence.

The whole scenes between Cruise and whats her face were just weird. When he left her in the morning he made an origami. Where does one learn to do origami?

Sounds like a 73 thing.

What the hell else are we supposed to do on those red eyes? I'm also working on feng shui.;)

Had a big Friday night in the bar scene that was filmed early in the morning. They all talked about being wild drunk (free drinks from the movie production Co) and it wasn't even 10am:D

Cool origami for pilots...

If you were a SWA 737 guy you'd do that a $100 bill, and then burn it.

I'm trying to think, there was a corporate guy that had this awful boss and one day they landed and the guy pulled out a $100 bill, showed it to him, and burned it. Said there's your tip. Walked off.

If jet fuel dropped to $20 bbl, I bet Anderson would be rebuilding the DC-9 fleet out of the desert. They're spending a boatload of money refurbishing 20+ year old whales and 7ER's with AVOD and flat-beds. Everything is a cost-benefit analysis. With RA's history, whatever produces the biggest return with the best (least) risk will get the nod for our fleet.

Are you joining the rumor mongerers Slow?

I will say, there aren't a whole lot of MD-90s to be had outside of the Saudi's, which may be the reason they're not acquiring much more. Besides, the 739s might have been a homophone deal.

homophone? thanks Iphone autocorrect. phenomenal was the word I was spelling but it finished the word for me and chose, homophone?

Are the homophones the ones that come in pink and chiffon?

If the 717s don't come at the expense of AirTran pilots, which given SWA's order this past week it sure doesn't look like it, then I'm all for getting every last one built.

Talk about a steal for "100 seater" that you could never get anywhere else right now. Sure the 737-700 may beat it on block, hourly and CASM but they're cheap and easy and could play an integral part of a great 3 way.

A 3 way between SWA, DAL and Boeing.

Unfortunately, if we get them all we may have to acquire HA be stapled to their list.
