Is it too soon to take bets on the upcomming Tebow-Brady slap fight?

New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos: NFL Picks

Nobody is hating life more than John Elway.

The better Tebow does, the lower their draft position goes, the lesser of the 'quarterback of the future' they can snatch. And boy, if they go 4-12 next year developing a new QB which is often the case with new QBs... oh boy.

I don't care who you are................That thar is just funny!!!!:D Thanks for the laugh Carl!

As to the public comment about reaching a deal by the end of 2012 (our amendable date) by the company. What else would you expect them to say in a public statement? I'll believe it when I see it and I'm not holding my breath.

The Air Force got Iron Eagle, the Navy got Top Gun

The airline industry got Airplane!

The regional pilots got A View From The Top:

It's where they made fun of CLE E120 drivers working for a Texas based airlines with bases in New York, Cleveland and Texas.

Take your pick. A movie about a 16 year old who steals an F-16, a cinematography masterpiece about an F-14 driver saving the world and setting a benchmark on coolness in flight, a comedy where the pilots are taken out and a yahoo from the back lands the airplane and a horrible boring comedy.

I chose Airplane! I like Yahoos.

But Top Gun I guess would be second.

I watched "The Gauntlet" yesterday. (Old Clint Eastwood movie for those of you that don't know) He went from PHX to LAS, and when he arrived they showed him getting off of a HughesWest banana yellow airplane. Funny stuff right there..... Didn't they get bought by Republic.. and then NWA? Are there any banana pilots left?

Quick Pay Question

Hey guys, trying to save myself a call to mydelta pay analyst...I have 40 hrs credit in January between vacation and CQ training...still owe the company 9 reserve days, will I get paid 70 hr reserve cut in half plus the 40 hr credit for total pay of 70hr/ 2 plus 40 to equal 75 hours? Could have held a 12 day trip trip for more pay and now I am working 13days for less pay....hope vacation credit is improved in this next contract, right now vacation is a liability on the wide-bodies!

There are a few, up in SEA I think, but mostly retired now. My favorite guy to fly with was the Hughes "plug" but he passed a year or so ago from a brain tumor of all things. He was the perfect Hughes guy that proved adage "good $hit Hughes Air West guy" is redundant.

My goal in college was to be a Hughes Air West banana boat pilot, watching them drive past Ariz State on their way to Sky Harbor. Guess I made it, sort of.

Ferd

PS Yes, Republic was the merger of North Central (the surviving carrier) Southern from Memphis and Hughes Air West. Also known as "the green book" guys.

It's a bit complicated. The easy way to see what you will get paid is to go to your timecard in icrew and add up all the times you see in the "Pay" time column. The schedules for January have been released so it will be there.

I was the incredibly good looking stud in the right seat with a big watch. Or was is the short, fat guy with a thin spot on top....I can't remember. Glad you recognized I was joking and I know you didn't go to Riddle. Admit it though....you WISH you could take a Rhino up for a trip around the block! :D

Yep - he was my sim partner in 88 training (before the bus came to SLC). He flew the Mig in the SOVIET airforce and then Tu-154's for one of the Aeroflot spinoffs after the fall. Came to the US and had to start from square one (private license, etc.) since none of his previous time carried over to the FAA ratings. And yes, super guy!
