Completely remember dual qual, it was stupid than and stupid now in whatever manner its done. The only protection is to have it spelled out explicitly in the PWA.

OK, I know everyone else has to do it, but my RAM is more limited than most.

The fact of having to self-learn the A320 while still trying to consolidate on the 73N pretty well spells out "egregious" in my book.......I know, shut up and color........

Happy New Year,
BG

So if you're going training in the next few months it will likely be around 72 hours of pay.

Well.. no. If you are in training from the 1st to the 31, yes, but if you training splits two months, no.

Make sure to bid "Max Credit" the months you're in training, as PBS will assign you trips, then remove them (Shadow Bidding is what it's called) so someone can actually fly them. You'll get paid what you would of been able to hold. For example, if you are in training the 15-30th of month one, your pay from Qualification Training will be 0.50 * ALV= 36. The rest of the pay for the month will come from either trips you flew in your old category or pro-rated reserve guarantee. It's possible to get less than ALV or 70 hrs (if reserve) because you couldn't hold productive trips.

That's true. I start training on 1/16 & have right around 72 hours. But I intentionally bid reserve so I didn't end up with less then 70 hours. I could see PBS front loading my schedule just to make min credit. I wanted to avoid that, which is why I bid reserve.

For Feb I'll bid max credit though. Although, if PBS awards me trips and I complete OE in time will I be obligated to fly them? Or will it just be shadow bidding for pay purposes?

Emirates: Most junior captain hired: Nov 2008 (777)

Don't know why I just posted that - just shocked, I guess.

Don't they hire captains right off the "street?"

So what's left? DXB and JNB and SYD. They can easily cover that from DTW, with deadheadding, just like they do now. This same F/A told me they were told, "ATL international flying will only be Africa and South America. NYC will do all the Europe and DTW will do all the Asia flying..."

Just remember..."Commuting is a Choice!"
Yeah, I keep hearing that as well. Basically no 777 flying in ATL. Those boys that work for the airport and the city of ATL really irked the wrong CEO.
