Vacation Bidding

Can I bank vacation days to use them to cover future dropped reserve days/trips a few days at a time versus taking a week? Is the "bank" ever reset to zero, wiping out unused vacation?

Thanks,
Cubdrick

No, there is no vacation "bank" and you can't use vacation days to drop anything. That's what Personal drops or PB days are for.

Vacation days generally have to be bid with the vacation process or attached to other vacation weeks that you have already bid. If you don't bid your vacation days, the vacation bid process automatically bids for you.

No.

Again, no. You will be assigned vacation based on an order in the PWA if you don't bid. You have to take your vacation (ie cannot sell it back, or fly during it). This is a good thing, as we pilots are our own worst enemy and would see many guys doing this, resulting in less bodies needed.

Dal w-2

What's the best way to get our 2011 W-2? I went through employee self-service, selected "get my tax form" and it looks like I will be charged $5.00 to get my own W-2? Someone please tell me I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance,
Cubdrick

I'm pretty sure the 5$ charge is for previous year W-2's. 2011 W-2's aren't available yet. Click on the delivery options tab and fill in your contact info if you didn't do it last year or if you have changes from last year. You'll get it in your e-mail whenever they are ready, if that's how you set it up.

Go get 'em boys. Pair of F15's chasing down two Mig 29's. Supposed to have happened between the Aleutians and the North Pole.

True, first time is free. I have it set up so that an e-mail informs me that it's ready, click on a link, then prepare to download a .pdf copy. Past W-2's are $5.
