Lets see how well SWAPA does now that they are facing higher costs and a rational playing field. If anything their "darling" status as an independent union is about to get tested.

Oh... and are the "DAL leaders" there to corroborate ALPA's EF&A analysis? Or is it the other way around?

ALPA's ef&a keeps DAL's accountants and their math very honest.

Please show your math on that.

I think they're worrying about future concessions. The airlines CASM continues to rise, while their PRASM continues to drop.

That sure would be a nice break for ALPA, wouldn't it? Then you could maintain your low expectations and not have that whole pesky SWA thing hanging over your head.

Air France-KLM Expects Deep Loss
BY DAVID PEARSON -- WSJ
JANUARY 25, 2012

PARIS—Air France-KLM's financial situation is "extremely tight" after the company incurred a substantial operating loss in 2011 for the fourth consecutive year, the chief executive of Air France, one of the Franco-Dutch group's two airline divisions, said Wednesday.

Alexandre de Juniac told a French parliamentary commission that due to rising fuel costs, fierce competition from low-cost airlines and the lingering effects of the financial crisis, Air France-KLM's losses from operations last year will reach "several hundred million euros," but declined to be more explicit as the company's accounts are still being audited. Air France-KLM is 15.7%-owned by the French state.

More flying for us????

Take the NWA and DAL pre JPWA rates and then average the raises together.

ALPA has long since predicted that AF would be hitting a very stiff headwind and guess what? They were correct. What that means is anyone's guess, but there are probably a lot of jets that AF has on order that they may not take deliver of.

Possibly. But I'll bet they aren't worried about anything even remotely like 42%. Just as a point of reference, they would have to take about a 35% pay cut to come down (way down) to the W2 of a typical Delta narrowbody domestic pilot.

Hard to say. Delta is one of the better paid pilot groups in the industry. When Gary Kelly points to competitors, you can bet Delta will be included. And we are one of the better paid. I'm not implying they'll take 35% paycuts, but everyone's fun ride comes to an end eventually.
