Another question I would have is does your longevity for pay and vacation continue to accrue if you flowback to CPS like it does if you take the furlough. The XJT and Eagle flow programs didn't allow flowbacks to accrue longevity which needs to be factored into the costs of taking a position there also. I've discovered that the reps have no idea about any of this stuff when you ask them, at least mine don't.

Easy to say when you're not at the bottom of the list. I'd rather be furloughed than forced to take a 50% pay cut.

I was furloughed from 2001-2006. The job market in general, not just aviation, is horrible right now. Trust me when I say, you don't know what you're talking about.

Nice integrity.

I really hope you DON'T speak for the majority of North pilots.

I guess you know my situation better than me. I'll be fine with a nice Reserve gig. I'm just sorry that not everyone else at the bottom of the list can go back on active duty.

It looks like we'll have the option of flow down vs furlough so it's really a moot point.

Any numbers on the PERP - rumor or otherwise?

Captain I flew with today lives next door to a sched supervisor and he said 90 so far. I dont know if that was just Delat or combined. If true, not bad considering there will be more last minute numbers.

you guys are talking like a furlough has been announced. Hope for the best and plan for the worst i suppose but lets not jump the gun, yet ;)

that would be great news if true because most are expected to wait till the end before submitting for it. We'll see

Oh who am I kidding - I just don't want to get furloughed :)

Yeah if you don't like commuting or if you do and are just plain disgruntled... then take the perp/prip/pirp(your choice) and live a happier, better, less stressed life. And leave all that behind for those poor suckers they call new hires. Haven't you just had enough??
