Of course the crazy tie downs are a good idea cuz you'd hate to see that thing pull this trick:

or this one in EWR:

It's just a flesh wound...little high speed tape and good as new.

Each one is like a 4-ship of F-16's taking off at the same time... I bet every car-alarm on base was going off.

That's funny because it's true. I think I know who some of you are and I only work at DCI. For example, every time I see a DL pilot commuting between LAX and PHX on our glorious CRJ-900 heavy, I want to say, "Hey! Are you that Ferd guy?" But the last guy didn't look too friendly so it couldn't have been him.

I know, I'm a stalker. It's an ongoing problem. I'm working on it.

That CAL plane that went through the podium is now a trainer for the EWR fire and rescue near EWR.

Actually that could have been me As I head out to work, my wife will tell me "you look like a man headed to the gallows". I'm ok once I get to work, but the grind of the commute and leaving my big easy chair and TV ain't easy.

But your right, I walked into the gym in NRT one afternoon wearing an Ariz State TShirt, made an obscene comment to a friend on the elipitcal and headed for the treadmill. A guy walks up to me and says, "are you Ferd on APC?" Turns out is was Finns who put it all together

Ferd

I've asked every 747 guy if he's Carl, even the female.
