It goes in concert with what Bar said. We are renewing,cabins which need to be done anyway but not replacing jets. We are down for many reasons but a big one is there is no fleet replacement. Bar and I had a long talk about this today as well.

We were at 767 and now are at 709.

Remember this is what NW did while Anderson was at the helm. Instead of replacing planes he refurbished them, thus extending the shelf lives of the aircraft and extending the replacement cycle. Note when DL retired the last of their DC-9's vs. when NW did... well.... is yet to do. The same goes for the classic whales and DC-10s.

I wouldn't be surprised to see even more used instead of new aircraft come online here in the coming years.

Yeah, but Clamp needs to edit the photo because his signature saying was: "...is too damn high". Sometimes the light curse word makes all the difference.

You're right, but my mind couldn't help but read it that way which allowed it to have the same effect.

Maybe FTB can edit this one to insert "bucket" for "price."

And THAT is why Bar was correct in describing our current corporate status as one of slow liquidation. It's also why alfaromeo's ridiculous attempt at defense by listing active numbers of pilots was so, well, ridiculous.
