When you are within two hours of the ALV. You could be assigned a trip on your last on call day if it were DH only since credit it tallied at the end of the trip and would fall into next month.

Thanks. Guess I'm screwed then:( Sitting SC #5 with the highest raw of 4 pages of reserves by about 50 points. Betting I get #6 for tomorrow.

No, but you have guys on 12 year pay sitting in the left seat. Making the top rate at 70 hrs for months on end, effectively making 15K a month.

There may be 12 yr FDAL sitting in some left seat somewhere, but there are NO FNWA 12 yr sitting in a left seat and are no where near holding a left seat. Just sayin....:o

Now isn't the time. I hope this is obvious to everyone who is looking forward to our "+40%" (Lol)

Why would it be a "windfall of pilots" when they could just hire them all anyway. There are thousands upon thousands of pilots who have way worse than we do here at Delta. I commute to sit reserve on the DC-9 & it's WAY better than both regionals I worked for. The right seat of the MD-88 sounds pretty good to me now.

I sure hope not. Should that even be a question?

It's interesting how folks are getting away with saying "I'm not willing to give up any scope!" like it's a bold or aggressive statement. A General puffing up his chest and shouting to his troops that "we're not going to surrender any more ground!" would rightly get snickers from the troops who realize the incongruity between the words he spoke and the effect with which they were delivered.

Sailing- have any of your reps stated that scope recapture is a top priority?

I'm not questioning the validity of the current negotiating strategy, just pointing out that I think some are getting away with trying to pass a weak position on scope off as a strong one by hoping we pay more attention to the boldness of delivery rather than he literal meaning of words spoken.

Excellent post!

That is pretty good.

Their padding on the seats looks more comfy than some of ours. :D

I'd like to see a group shot of all of the shuttles. Before they depart to their final resting places I'd like to see them together... on the ground.

Seat padding is something not needed very much in that ship. During launch, you're vertical and all the acceleration stress is against the seatback, then you're weightless in 8 minutes. Re-entry takes about 65 minutes to touchdown and you only get G's for about the last 20 minutes.

Just saw this.

Flow Through Agreements. As of now, there is no flow through agreement in place for ExpressJet pilots. The working group called Delta Connection Pilot Alliance (DCPA) consists of the ALPA Delta Connection carriers of ASA (now ExpressJet), Comair, Compass, and the new Pinnacle. This group has been looking to develop a flow through agreement with Delta and is focused on those pilots serving the Delta Connection system. Since it is easy to determine who that is in our combined pilot group, those flying the CRJ could become eligible in the event that an agreement is reached; however, there is nothing that includes the ERJ pilots at this time. These discussions are still in the infancy stage with the Delta MEC and, therefore, Delta Airlines management. I have been part of these meetings in the past, as have previous chairmen. Additionally, the XJT MEC has tasked me to form an alliance with the ALPA carriers flying in the United Express system. This group could be tasked by their respective MECs to work on a flow through agreement with the United MEC and United Airlines management. I am in the beginning stages of forming this alliance.

Absolutely no flow through!!!!!!!!!! Interviewing is the only way to get the best shot at finding a good match. Now, if we recapture all 76 seat aircraft and the flying involved then just staple. That would be good for everyone even though some weak sisters and brothers along with a few booger eating morons may slip through the cracks! Just sayin!:D

Why would they start a new flow thru when they just canned one a couple years ago with Compass?
