Funny. We used to follow the contrails of the 76's passing overhead while flying up the AR route to ILM (Dixon) on the 73-200

My point about WN was that they are betting on an airline who's growth machine is maxed out, the new non-visionary CEO is already talking about keeping pilot costs in order, they had to merge to get any sort of expansion, and they have the worst mandatory retirement outlook in the industry (which really is the only guaranteed thing).

Betting on their contract staying above everyone else for the next 20 years is like acting on advice you get from a fortune cookie. There is no validity to any statement on the airline industry that far out.

That's how I got into aviation.

A320 v 73N

Right seat of the A320 v. 73N.

Anybody got experience in both that can list some strengths and weaknesses?

Thanks.

Hell, I followed them over the NATS in the C-141 when we had questionable INS guidance. Worked great.

Retirements forecasts are invalid too, age 70 or no age limits at all is on horizon.

Here's a little potential good news...according to the latest 75/76 standards newsletter, the parking of the 5500's has been delayed for 2 years for "marketing objectives.". That supports LCA rumors that the 737-900's may not all be replacements after all. Here's hoping...

Where is this at? I thought I could get around the DL web site but apparently not. Thanx for any info.

I couldn't believe when I got the Delta I was out over the ocean navigating with a ADF needle. Off course I was a little surprised flying international we were still using HF. "Rangoon, come in, over!"

There's always a chance, however there is zero indication that there is any actual push to change Age 65.

You don't want to fly the 320, we use weegie boards and dowsing sticks to fly the thing and all the manuals are written in French.

Don't forget the pesky poorly attached tails and you're not actually in control of the airplane.
