Completely false. The NMB will (if they are asked to participate) look at everything in their determination of what is reasonable and achievable. When you say the NMB will be asking "what have you done lately", you literally sound like someone reading prepared talking points. As such you just sound dopey.

Again, whoever is preparing your talking points doesn't understand a section 6 negotiations. What the company is willing to give is not one penny more than what they think the NMB would agree to anyway. Offering more would be a failure of management's fiduciary responsibilities. Going the traditional section 6 path is all about telling management that we disagree with what you think the NMB will allow. You and your talking point authors know this as well...which is why you are so desperately trying to talk us out of a section 6. You and your other cubicle residents are clearly afraid of a full section 6. We are not. We've waited over a decade for it.

Would those be the pilots who swing by your cubicle to say hi?

If he's in a position junior to you, does that make his logic less sound or his posts less valuable? Evaluate the words and thoughts, not the person.

Translation: Please stop asking about my position and base. I'm not really a Delta pilot so please change the subject. Please?

No, it just means he'll have to get back to those account receivables.

That's a different debate.

The 737 is a much more capable aircraft. It can fly from SLC to SJC and from SJC to JFK. Both probably much cheaper than the 88.

Because it is more capable, it should be paid more. Why? The pilots didn't buy it. We are only equipment operators. We don't get any extra bonus because of the way we operate the airplanes.. i.e. fuel underburn, saving time, etc... why do you suppose that is?

I don't even think the 88 can fly from SLC to ATL on a hot summer day, unless you take off without a full load.

I'm not trying to disrespect the 88 pilots (but you will anyway), because they work equally hard. It's just that when the pay was established on the 737N, it was high because of the contributions it made to the company bottom line. So, because it was done that way in years past means it is just as valid today?

The "Rogerina" made me smile. Excellent creativity

He's gonna have to recruit every year for the NBA, because it appears that he is the king of one and done. College basketball is being ruined right before our eyes... might as well start paying 'em.

Yep, and its a shame. I'm from Chapel Hill and a UNC fan. Three of their best guys are bolting...at least they spent two years at Carolina.

I'm not sure the 737 is any more productive when stuck in trail behind a Douglas jet.

Let's face it, no college athlete is a "kid" and most college sports is BIG BUSINESS! NCAA football and basketball are pretty close to a voluntary servitude when you consider the money amount of money universities make off their labor.

Offering a player like Anthony Davis a chance at a diploma for what he bring$ to the university is a joke. That goes for all athletes.

Pay'em all! (and I'm a UK fan)

...and I don't doubt that his rate would exceed our 12-yr 747 CA rate...just to tie into this thread's primary topic ;)
