Padre seems to know it all. He has an answer for everything except his base and a/c.

Hoserpilot is an ATL Maddog pilot extraordinaire. I bet padre is one of those kids the big D pays to monitor twitter and other social media.

I'd like that too. So would have the APA, but it isn't going to happen.

Disregarding the scope part, and focusing on the pay/DC part, that's somewhere in the vicinity of $780 million in increased costs to the company. I hardly think the deal that is creating the "opportunity" is worth that much per year for 3 or 4 years. If I was a business man, I'd forgo your offer and give you the long path to Section 6, and your desire to work with the NMB on your "issues".

What side are you on. Your not a Delta Pilot. Not 1 Delta pilot or any pilot would agree to your 11% or any of your stuff your throwing out here. Everyone just put him on your ignore list. Unless you want a good laugh.

I say go for the good laugh.

This is the first section six since '99/'00.

Back then we were using AOL dial up and a 56k modem was smokin'. Cell phones were in their first couple of generations and there was no such thing as a smart phone at the time.

Here we are now in 2012. The battle for public opinion, and to manage expectations, has begun. The louder the rhetoric, the closer we get to a TA. When we have a TA, prepare for the full court spin from DALPA as well as the onslaught from the corporation and fellow employees.

The internet, 4G and social media are a powerful force. Look what they did for Egypt, Libya and the Arab Spring movement. Additionally, those who have been to China with a computer have realized how paranoid they are of this.

That fact has effectively made APC forums, and others like it, a significant strategic battle ground. If it weren't, we would not be seeing the FPL crowd here over the last year or so.

Recognize this and realize when guys (padre) (gjerk) just show up here with a handful of posts to their credit and claim to be an authority on what is good for Delta pilots, they are likely posers. Example: Tomahawk, who was outed over on the AMR board.

Alright. Bring on the underboob. And by the way, is straight body paint OK or will it bring an infraction?

P.S. Step 0.b.2 was pushing the slot swap through for them. That one sure sucked when they revealed the big secret - turning LGA into DAL RJ Central.

I agree, the slot swap sucked.

The company already feels we've been paid back for our contributions regarding the merger. The NMB doesn't care what the synergies were. They (the NMB) are living in 2012, and asking what have you done lately?

If a person doesn't want to participate in future steps, it's an option. We could follow the traditional path to Section 6. The value of whatever the company wants to exchange for our expedited contract would disappear. It's a choice.

Most pilots I talk to don't think 11% is enough. Most certainly think that 43% is for the lunatic fringe.

Even staying in a Holiday Inn Express wouldn't qualify me as an Industrial Psychologist, or get me into a cubicle. Why does one have to know what seat and category a person is in? If he's in a position junior to you, does that make his logic less sound or his posts less valuable? Evaluate the words and thoughts, not the person.

I'm kinda thinking all three, since two of the three could be leased back and used as a self supporting tax write off. The airplane is a business necessity ... otherwise how could you check on your boat? None would be financially irresponsible since none are really going to drop in value.

If I had to purchase a boat, I'd go for a nice 1942 Consolidated 60 footer with a pair of P&W Twin Wasps on top.

Please explain how you think that would unfold.

I don't know yet. Another manufacturer could be in the mix & I have not crunched the numbers on those opportunities yet. Usually management does what makes sense mathematically. On ce you get the numbers figured out then it is pretty easy to see what direction they are likely moving in.

Trying to put the numbers together does make one realize why the 76 to 150 gap exists. As posted earlier, numbers show the Next Gen CRj900 to be a better airplane, on, or off, Delta property than the 717. I am not sure how the numbers shake out for the 318/319, but there are some of those sitting unloved (cheap & available) in various parts of the World.

ALPA might not realize it & our MEC might be against it, however, the numbers suggest more CRj900's were (perhaps are) the short term opportunity management was (is) seeking.*

* I don't know what we know, or what "we" don't know. The MEC & Admin haven't told anyone (leaked or officially). D-ALPA has good strategic resources and I'm not second guessing them ... I just admitting what I'm not sure of.

As a reminder, to add to one's "Ignore List":

User CP>Edit Ignore List...I've just exercised this option.

Good for those folks who post useless drivel or who are dishonest.

Padre2992 = Industrial Psychologist, which is really just a polite term for one engaged in activity that is negatively directed towards labor.

not a Delta Pilot. Not 1 Delta pilot or any pilot would agree to your 11% or any of your stuff your throwing out here
Add APA references, NMB comments and this sounds suspiciously familiar. Anti-Labor, managing expectations - management, DALPA, or one in the same?

My guess is Padre2992= is Slowplay of the Strategic Pessimism Committee

Hey Padre;

If we all put you on our ignore list, does that mean you will lose your job?
