I enjoyed my iPhones very much. But I became tired of Apples strangle hold on what you could or couldn't do. I like to stream NHL games via local AM stations online, & it requires flash access. Apple doesn't allow flash access. Android does. Just one of the many perks with making the switch(for me) What's great for me is I can do everything with my Note that I could do with my iPhone plus more.
Am I the only one that sees a HUGE problem with that?

Mine took a bath in the MD88 when it was 2 weeks old. I hadn't gotten my otterbox yet for it and so as we started to move I noticed that slick little devil was about to take a long fall. So just put it in a safe place... like the cup holder!
Coming through 20,000' or so I look over and decide to move it... that's when I realized it'd been headlong into about 2" of water. It took everything, and I mean everything, not to turn it on to see if it was okay.
I felt like I had one option which was to heat it up so I wedged it in the glareshield and the heated windshield and let it bake in the sun for the 2-3 hour flight.
It's worked for I guess 2-3 years now. I still think the camera is fuzzy but it's a 3Gs so that just may be how it is.
From experience the rice trick absolutely works. The hardest part is the not turning it on to see i it works now. You've just got to let it go.

Thanks for all the info. I also have games available on flash I would like to watch and have to bring my laptop as I am unable on either the iPad or iPhone. You would think a company approaching .75 Trillion market cap could work the flash issue out. Other than that and the issues we've had on my wife's 4s, we've been happy with Apple.

The phone fits in my pants pocket just fine. I never put my phone in my shirt pocket. The phone is wide, but fairly thin. I never have a phone in my pocket while flying. I tend to put it in my small duffel bag while flying. While it is in my pocket, it fits comfortably. I always had an Otter Box case for my iPhones, but haven't found one for the Galaxy Note yet. I do have a Speck brand case for it with a screen protector on it, and it works well especially if you're wearing jeans because the case is smooth hard plastic so it easily moves in and out of your pocket. I'll be looking for an Otter Box soon, as I've always preferred those cases.
The size takes a week or so to get used to, but I can now text with one hand. I like the phone very much. I'm on reserve, so I enjoy the stylus pen and memo function. I take screenshots of my schedule coming off X days and make notes of no short call assignments. It's a nice function to be able to write on the screenshot. I also enjoy being able to access flash files, and I think the GPS/map function is better then on the iPhone 4. I'm enjoying the Android based phone so far, and my first 2 smartphones were both iPhones.

Yes I saw that post also. Thanks again. I'll probably give the note a go. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't like carrying a brick around in my pocket with the case.

The Regional Airline Era Is Long Gone
It makes no real difference how much labor will give in concessions. It really makes little difference how much more - if any - a major airline can be cajoled in to paying more for lift. It makes almost no difference how much slack can be won from lenders. The facts are clear:

The regionals are in trouble. They simply will not get the FFD long term contracts that were the gravy train of the last decade. With costs passed on to them, not even their low labor costs can save them.
