With that said, I don't think RA would touch that kind of deal. WAY too many problems when 319s could be had at similar prices with no hassle.

I will agree with you that labor peace is really important going forward. I will also submit that there is going to be a lot of "rumors" right now during section 6. Its typical. Add to all of this the talk of new old jets, etc and the best thing we can do is just wait and see what materializes.

I see no reason for helmet fires. If I have a question, I call a rep, and thus far everything is pure speculation.

What do you mean by this? Just curious.

A friendly reminder for those that haven't been to initial qualification in a while.

I'm going next month, and couldn't hold a line for the partial month that I'm not in training. I got 5 X-days and 5 days off that the company was able to assign at their will while I'm in training.

Responsible to the company for 21 days next month for a whopping 72:19 of pay!

Just a reminder for when you contemplate the next contract.

A blank open line was great when it was an option.

I also thought DAL had a 75 minute waiver for ETOPS. I remember, somewhere in my books, video, pamphlet, discussion with LCA or some other training material, I saw this. Maybe the NRT-SPN/GUM route meets the 75 minute criteria without IWO.

I know it costs almost the same to operate a 319 and 320. You might get a better deal flying REVENUE on the 320 because it hold more passengers.

On the other hand, I am sure it is more cost effective, running higher load-factors on a 319/320 instead of a 717. For a pilots pay standpoint, you have more seats thus pay per seat is better on the Airbi.

Not to change the subject but I am trying to figure out how this reinstatement works for someone who was MD.

If I was MD on this last AE, the only way I can be reinstated is if there is a posted vacancy for my old position and it's within 180 days of my conversion date. When does the conversion date start? If I lose reinstatement rights I can still fill out a VD and try to get it back that way, right? I'm not seat locked.

Thanks,

BFS
