Their housing bubble burst the same time ours did. EK is becoming more and more of a connecting airline. Geographically speaking they are the best positioned to serve everywhere but North America. Europe is eight hrs and the East Side of Australlia is about nine to ten.

The only thing that they really have going against them is their middle of the night ops.

My friends that live in South Africa use them to connect through DXB to America.

I'm with gloopy though. There is NO way they will fill all of the WB's they've ordered. Ain't happening without cabotage.

Anyone know the minimum amount of time we would be given to vote on a new contract? Does ALPA have a minimum in the bilaws?

Not to sound too cynical, but I wonder, have DAL pilots ever voted down a TA?

Not cynical, a realist.

Bread and butter is the main diet for some...

Many are replacements and they will look acquiring Ailines with fifth freedom rights.

Their plan was three more cities in the US this year.

Not sure we will see cabotage but so far their demand is outpacing their growth. One hit to them was airbus did not give them the mtow increase on the 380 they were damanding. That will keep the 380 off of the western US cities.
