isn't this the same idea as selling your vacation? FTB, I don't think so. Right now you can fly on off days via slips - you can not do this with vacation - and I hope this does not change. With our current reserve system what happens if you are the only reserve pilot available and you are about to max out via the ALV? If the available trip puts you over the ALV are you ineligible for the trip? It seems to me letting reserve guys fly above the ALV as an option is similar to letting line holders W/S and G/S. It would be nice if this was strictly on an optional basis - I think allowing the company assign guys to ALV + 15 may adversely affect G/S availability. Scoop |

When I told him I was furloughed Delta, he didn't believe me, claimed all the furloughees had been recalled. The FMII guys had, but not the FMI guys. When I showed him the furlough ID they had given us, he claimed it looked fake and had never seen anything like it. Refused to believe anyone was still out involuntarily and stormed off. Talked with the FO after the flight and he said the captain ranted about DCI pilots pretending to be mainline the whole flight and tried to convince the FO there were no furloughees.

I got the impression from one of your posts that you were not, but wanted to be, a DAL F/A. I like the thought that you might be Herman's wife, but I believe his wife is a DAL F/A (I could be wrong). Anyway, what I can tell you from trying to help my former secretary get hired (a gal who would have been a shoo in in the old DAL), is that if you do not speak a foreign language pretty fluently, they really aren't interested. Anyway, if you are Herman's wife, Herman, 2 thumbs up. Your wife has excellent taste in underboob. |
I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall of 88's cockpit when he had Carl in the jumpseat.
I also met an APC poster on my last trip. It wasn't FTB, so I was really disappointed. |
